Evelyn J. “Jeanie” Peterson, 51, of North Lewisburg, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2017, at the Ohio State University James Cancer Center in Columbus.
She was a graduate of Benjamin Logan High School and dedicated 25 years to being a quality control inspector with Smith Medical. She was a hard worker who enjoyed her job. She enjoyed spending time with her pitbull boxer, Prue. Most of all, she loved being with her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother with a very kind, giving heart. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
She was born on Feb. 23, 1966, in Marysville, to Bob Dutton and the late Betty Ann (Sparks) Dutton. In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of 33 years, Jeff Peterson; daughter, Jeanie Lee Renee (Josh) Walborn; grandchildren, Kyle, Lindsey and Jake Walborn; brother, Robert (Catherine) Dutton; sister, Sharon Dutton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Freshwater, McDonald & Vernon Funeral Home, in North Lewisburg. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
