She was a graduate of Marysville High School and a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially when sharing a meal with them. She was a joyful spirit, always willing to give of her time, money and prayers.
She was born May 16, 1941, in Marysville, to the late Floyd C. and Opal D. Penn Hegenderfer. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Earl, whom she married in 1961 at Trinity Lutheran Church and who died in 1992; sisters, Berna Jean Snyder and A. Irene Cross; and brother, Philip L. Hegenderfer.
She is survived by her brother, Byron (Becky) Hegenderfer of Tucson, Arizona, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Jacob Heino will officiate a memorial service to celebrate her life at 4 p.m. Friday at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Following the service, a gathering of family and friends will be held in the Marie Pfarr Room until 6 p.m.
