Kathy Lee LaWarre Cline, 63, of Broadway, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017, at Milcrest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Marysville following an extended illness.
She retired after 25 years working in the dietary department at Memorial Hospital. She graduated from Marysville High School in 1972 and was a former member of New Dover United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting, and participated with the American Quilters Association. She also enjoyed making jewelry and reading. She will be remembered for her easy-going attitude, spunky demeanor and love of life.
She was born on Jan. 9, 1954, in Marysville, to the late James Benjamin LaWarre Sr. and Ruby Kathryn LaWarre of Marysville, who survives. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her sister, Aprill Ann LaWarre and her grandmother, Ruby Lee LaWarre.
She is also survived by her husband of 39 years, Lary J. Cline; mother, Ruby Kathryn LaWarre of Marysville; step-daughter, Kathryn Burton; brother, Ben (Cindy) LaWarre of Marysville; sister, Sheila (Rick) Kuba of West Mansfield; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Kathy and Dick Brake and Richard Gould, all of Marysville; nieces and nephews, Joel (Sharon) LaWarre, Heather (Ed) Lowe, Kyle (Michelle) Kuba, Joey Kuba, Ameena LaWarre, Nadia LaWarre, Doug, Bob, David and Brian Brake, Chuck Gould and Pam Gould; grandchildren, Larry Burton and Amber Burton; aunts and uncle, Mary Ormeroid, Betty Montgomery and Jerry and Nola LaWarre; and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Underwood Funeral Home. The Rev. Peter C. Hamilton will officiate funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Interment will be at Broadway Cemetery.
