Kay E. Eirich, 71, of Marysville and formerly of the Raymond area died Sunday morning, Feb. 9 at OSU Hospitals in Columbus following many months of failing health.
She was retired from PPG Industries in Delaware.
She was a person who never knew a stranger. She was a member of the Elks Lodge, Marysville Eagles and the VFW Auxiliary.
She was also an accomplished bowler and competed in statewide competitions.
She always had a smile on her face, was always there to help anyone in need and valued her friendships. She was an avid OSU football fan and cherished the times she spent traveling the country with her son, Chris.
She was born Aug. 11, 1948 to the late Sherman and Dorothy Roberts. She was married to Thomas D. “Tom” Eirich, who preceded her in death Nov. 3, 2015.
She is survived by her son Christopher G. Eirich and his friend Julia Mills; two grandchildren, Hailee and Elle Eirich; a sister, Shirley Roberts and her daughter, Sherry; a brother, Dale Roberts; her mother-in-law, Mary Eirich; in-laws, Karen and David Gwilliams of Raymond and Michael and Dianna Eirich of Richmond, Kentucky; a niece, Sarah Gwilliams of Raymond and many friends in her fraternal groups.
A memorial service to celebrate both Kay and Tom’s life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28 at the Ingram Funeral Home with the Rev. Sara McSwords officiating.
