Linda J. Barlow, 70, of Marysville, died Saturday morning, Sept. 16, 2017, at her home with her family by her side to comfort her.
A very creative-minded woman, she was very well known for crafting skills. Every year, she would create amazing Halloween costumes for herself and her sons and grandchildren, some of them winning awards. Later in life, she was known for her creative cakes that looked like custom masterpieces. She was a true living angel on earth, and she inspired so many people by setting an example of how God would expect people to live their lives. She impacted so many lives and will be missed by many more.
She was born on May 31, 1947, in Chester, Pennsylvania, to the late Benjamin and Nancy Pauline Jones Kyler.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Barlow Sr., whom she married on April 8, 1947; sons, John Barlow Jr. and Jason Barlow; daughters-in-law, Lisa Dieringer Barlow and Patty Smith; grandchildren, Ivy, Violet and Danielle Smith and Ryan and Zachary Barlow; sisters, Delores Kyler Whildin and Connie Kyler White; brothers, Butch Kyler and Walter Kyler; those whom she considered “as if they were her own kids,” Raymond Keagle and Kristin Moser; many nieces, nephews and dear friends; dogs, Tucker and Cooper; and cats, Soda and Scotch.
The Rev. Rita Ludington will officiate a Celebration of Life service at 5 p.m. Saturday at Ingram Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 4 p.m. until the time of the funeral service.
