Linda L. Opphile, 58, of Marysville, died Wednesday evening, Nov. 14, 2018, at Monarch Nursing Home following an extended illness.
In her earlier years, she was a caregiver for young children, a job she greatly enjoyed. Before her health started to fail, she enjoyed fishing and camping with her family.
She was born Jan. 27, 1960, in Xenia, to the late John H. and Christine Johnson Queen Sr. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Renee Frasure; and two brothers, John H. Queen Jr. and Carroll Queen.
She is survived by her husband, Martin Craig Opphile, whom she married Jan. 24, 1978, at First Presbyterian Church; son, Craig Jordan Opphile; sisters, Loretta (Rex) Schrim, Ruth Smith, Margaret (Dave) Cook and Becky (Bill) Baker; brothers, Dan (Gracie) Queen and Paul Queen; brother-in-law, Raymond Frasure; and many nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Rex Schrim will officiate funeral services at noon Monday at Ingram Funeral Home. Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. until service time at noon. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, South Charleston.
Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to a charity of a donor’s choice in care of the funeral home.
