Linda Victoria Knox Legge, 71 of North Lewisburg, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was a nursing caregiver for many years and was formerly associated with Hi-Point Health Care, Milcrest Nursing Home and Mayfair Village. She attended New Horizons Baptist Church and enjoyed listening to music, dancing, solving jigsaw puzzles and having special times with those she admired. Family was her utmost love, in addition to her pet canine companion, Bo.
She was born on Dec. 15, 1945, in Mechanicsburg, to the late Clifford and Alberta Shurte Knox. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Legge, and siblings, Tom Knox, Calvin Knox, James Knox, Billy Knox, Ronnie Knox, Russell Knox, Donald Knox, Annabelle Stokes, Rose Fox, Mildred Knox, Marilyn Moore and Wanda Arthur.
She is survived by her companion, Robert Vanda; children, Angie (Mike Edwards) Legge of Raymond, James M. (Angela) Legge of North Lewisburg and Victoria (Jeff) Bowers of Troy; grandchildren, James Edwards, Zachery Edwards, Joshua (Harley) Edwards, Macie (Adam) Moore, JT (Amber) Legge, Addison Legge, McKenzie Legge, Whitney (Chris) Damni, Sean Bowers and Morgan Bowers; great-grandchildren, Jaelyn, Dawson, Connor, Owen, Kenton and Adam; sisters, Marlea (Lester Griffin) Tatman of Woodstock and Lea (Steve) Boyer of North Lewisburg; brother, Tim Knox; sisters-in-law, Gloria Poole, Theresa Legge and Mozelle Sands; aunt, Cosetta Collins; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The Rev. Roger Williams will officiate funeral services at 3 p.m. Wednesday at New Horizons Baptist Church, where the family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will be held later at Jenkins Chapel Pleasant View Cemetery in Cable.
