Lionel C. Conley, 77, of Richwood, died Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at his residence.
He was a self employed leather and hat craftsman. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, member of the Kenton Eagles Lodge and lifetime member of the Coonhunters Club. He loved spending time with his family, especially at their pond. He enjoyed auto racing and collecting cars, ships and John Wayne pictures.
He was born April 14, 1941, in Hardin County, to the late Henry and Velva (Hall) Conley.
He is survived by his wife, Shirlene Pettit, whom he married Sept. 26, 1959, and who survives in Richwood; children, Steve (Mary Ann) Conley of Marysville and Melissa (Albert) Conley of Richwood; grandchildren, Josh Conley of Marysville, Marie Conley of Marysville, Alan (Courtney) Buckland of Richwood, Lauren (Frank) Buckland of Richwood, Kameron Conley of Richwood and Ashlyn Robbins of Englewood; great-grandchildren, Zandria Buckland, Zarrah Buckland, Jorden Buckland, Aubree McConahay and Brooklyn McConahay; sister, Diane (William) Hischke of Rochester Hill, Michigan; and many nieces and nephews.
His nephew, Jay Wilson, will officiate funeral services at 3 p.m. Saturday at Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. Burial will held at a later date. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of the services at 3 p.m. Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Living Care Hospice of Union County or the Alzheimer’s Association.
