Loretta J. Kleiber, 83, of Milford Center, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, April 30, 2019, at Memorial Gables.
She was a retired secretary with the Fairbanks School District following 25 years of service working with many of the school administrators through those years. A longtime member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, she was also active in the Mother’s Study Club and Kings Daughters. In earlier years, she was employed at O.M. Scotts where she met her future husband, Donald, whom she married on Jan. 16, 1965, at the Marysville First United Methodist Church. She and her husband enjoyed the many vacation trips that were arranged by Tomia Lowe through her tour group.
She was born Nov. 19, 1935, in Marysville, to the late Asa and Ethel Burkholder Griffith. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ronald A. Kleiber, a daughter-in-law, Debra Kleiber; and a sister, Miriam Hervey Mut.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, children Connie K. (Jack) Rausch of Marysville, Robert M. Kleiber of Plain City, and Michael W. Kleiber of Milford Center, grandchildren Jennifer Kleiber, Austin (Halle) Kleiber, Kurt (Erika) Rausch, and Lorinda Rausch, great-grandchildren Krosley and Kyden Rausch, brothers Bud (Ann) Griffith and Edward (Carol) Griffith, both of Marysville, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at St. Johns Lutheran Church with the Rev. Jacob Heino officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
In her memory, contributions may be made to St. Johns Lutheran Church or the Lutheran Hour in care of the funeral home.
