Melanie K. Blumenschein, 59, of Marysville, died Wednesday afternoon, July 3, 2019, at OSU Hospitals with her family at her side following a brief illness.
She was an administrative assistant at Honda of America and a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed being a mother to her two sons, always caring for others, and she also enjoyed cooking. She was a happy person and always had a smile on her face.
She was active with Jazzercise and, in her spare time, enjoyed flower gardening, crafting, riding on the back of a motorcycle and especially scrapbooking.
She was born Feb. 24, 1960, in Sarasota, Florida, to Andrew Miller and the late Diane Overturf Miller-Mullin.
She married Daniel P. Blumenschein on Nov. 7, 1981, at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years, Daniel; their children, Chris Blumenschein of Dublin and Rob Blumenschein of Columbus; father and step mother Andrew and Loretta Miller; and siblings Joy (Chuck) Litteral of East Liberty, Vickie Mullin of Woodstock and Debra Mullin-Sink of North Lewisburg.
Calling hours will be 5-8 p.m. today at the Ingram Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Jacob Heino officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
In her memory, contributions may be made to the Union County Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
