Mildred E. “Millie” (Dellinger) Nicol, 89, died Friday, Sept. 10, 2021.
She was born May 15, 1932 to Henry and Amelia (Kleiber) Dellinger at home.
She was confirmed on March 25, 1945 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Chuckery. She attended St. Paul’s Chuckery through seventh grade then graduated from Chuckery Darby High School in 1950.
On May 15, 1955 she married Willard “Nick” Nicol and they were married 64 years.
She worked for Kroger for 11 years then for Dublin City Schools for 18 years.
She was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Dublin where she was active in Ladies Aid, LWML and served several years on church council.
She is survived by her children, Mark (Colleen) of North Lewisburg, Janet Baker of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Keith (Chris) of Sunbury; grandson, Tristan Nicol; brother, John (Annetta) Dellinger of Plain City; one niece and three nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Willard in 2019; son-in-law, David Baker; sister, Marcella Dellinger and brother and sister-in-law Leon and Maryann Nicol.
Family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Tidd Funeral Home, Dublin-Plain City Chapel, 9730 Route 161, Plain City, Ohio 43064, (614) 733-0080.
Family will again welcome friends from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 6135 Rings Road, Dublin, Ohio 43016 where her funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. following visitation with Pastor Adam Steinbrenner officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery, Chuckery.
