Nancy R. Gynn, 81, of Dublin died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017.
She was a preschool teacher for 18 years and also an elementary school volunteer for 12 years. She loved time with family and friends, but also made time for flower gardening, sewing, puzzles and reading.
She shared her love of music with friends, kids and grandkids.
An avid traveler her entire life, she and her husband, Gil, traveled and explored 48 States as well as Europe on four different occasions. They made it a point to always include history and education as part of any fun trip.
She was born Feb. 23, 1936, in Union County to the late Richard E. and Natalie Kinkade Hall. She married Gilbert M. Gynn in 1956 and he preceded in death after 50 years of marriage in 2006.
She is survived by her children Steven (Cindy) Gynn of Silvis, Illinois, Susan (Richard) Morgan of Dublin, Thomas (Karen) Gynn of Dublin, Andy (Debra) Gynn of Akron; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Dan) Gynn Meier of Nevada, Iowa, Nathan and Anne Morgan, Nicholas and Kiley Gynn; a great grandson, McCabe Meier; and a sister, Barbara Younker of Orlando, Florida.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Ingram Funeral Home with the Rev. James Taylor officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service and burial will follow at the Claibourne Cemetery in Richwood.
Memorial Contributions in her memory may be made to the Northwest Library or the Honor Flight in care of the funeral home.
