Norma Louise Jordan, 89, of North Lewisburg, Ohio went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Campbell Place in Bellefontaine.
She was born March 28, 1935, in North Lewisburg, Ohio, the daughter of the late Dewey VanHoose and Bessie Rebecca Ridgeway. She married the love of her life Floyd Jordan on July 14, 1951, in the Church of God Prophecy, Mechanicsburg, Ohio.
Norma, a faithful member of the Church of God Prophecy, Mechanicsburg, Ohio found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her love of shopping was well-known, with Dollar General and local yard sales being among her favorites. She retired from Grimes manufacturing as a production painter after 28 years of service. Above all, Norma’s greatest love was spoiling her grandkids and great-grandkids before sending them back home.
Norma is survived by her daughters, Brenda K. (Bill) Maxwell and Lisa A. (Danny) Atchison; daughter-in-law, Jan Jordan; grandchildren, Scott (Chasity) Russell, Jennifer (Steve) Spencer, Ryan (Colette Graham) Jordan, Sara (Cameron) Liner, Miranda (Malin) Westfall and Stephanie (Daniel) Napier; 14 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 73 years, Floyd Jordan; daughter, Audrey Louise; and sons, Floyd Johnathan and Larry Stephen.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00-1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, in the FRESHWATER, McDONALD & VERNON FUNERAL HOME, North Lewisburg, Ohio.
Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00PM in the funeral home with Reverend Lisa Atchison officiating.
The funeral will be livestreamed to Vernon Funeral Home Facebook page starting 5 minutes prior to 1:00PM.
Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, North Lewisburg.
