Olive Jeanne Dunbar, 94, of Marysville, died peacefully Monday morning, Jan. 21, 2019, at Memorial Gables, with family members at her side.
In her early years of marriage, she was an employee of the health department in Columbus, and worked for 29 years at the Ohio Grain Company in Milford Center. She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church and Presbyterian Women.
She was a dedicated mother to her family and was active with her children and grandchildren in their school, scouts, 4-H and sporting activities. For 17 years, she and her husband, Earl, enjoyed their winter time in Florida, and with the many friends they made during that time.
She was born Dec. 4, 1924, in Union County, to the late Ray A. and Ercil M. Miller Brake. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl T. Dunbar, whom she married at the home of her parents near Milford Center Feb. 4, 1947, and who died Nov. 21, 2018; sister and brother in law, Virginia and Richard Boerger; and brother and sister-in-law, Ray M. and Jeanette Brake.
She is survived by her children, John T. (Linda) Dunbar of Westerville, Gary T. (Janice) Dunbar of Cincinnati, James T. (Carolyn) Dunbar of Conway, Arkansas and Susan F. (Tim) Bailey of Boulder, Colorado; grandchildren, Brian (Colleen) Dunbar, Melissa (Jamie) Gates, Steve (Nikki) Dunbar, Bob (Ashley) Dunbar, Stefanie (Fredrik) Mollborn, Justin Bailey, Kenneth Dunbar and Craig (Heather) Dunbar; and 16 great-grandchildren.
The Rev. James Taylor will officiate funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ingram Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Milford Center Cemetery next to her husband. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 9 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in care of the funeral home.
