Raymond A. Bruhnsen, 64, of Raymond, died Saturday morning, Sept. 30, 2017, from injuries he received in a motorcycle accident in rural Logan County.
He was a long-time employee of Industrial Ceramics in Marysville and a veteran of the Vietnam War. Mechanically inclined, he enjoyed working on his trucks, computers and Harley Davidson motorcycles. He was also accomplished in the kitchen and enjoyed cooking for family and friends, as well as the special time he could spend with them. A great admirer of the outdoors, he enjoyed flowers, especially the dahlias his wife grew around their home, and riding his motorcycles.
He was born on May 23, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan, to Maggie (Damon) Bruhnsen and the late Ray Bruhnsen. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 16 years, the former Tonya J. Levan, whom he married on April 14, 2001, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee; children, Jeramy (Jeremiah) Hamilton of Milford Center, Charlie (April) Levan of Pharisburg, Atileeta (Ryan) Honaker of Marion, James (Emma) Bruhnsen of LaRue and Alan (Brandy) Vermillion of Nebraska; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Suzy (John) Childers of Atlanta, Georgia; brother, Bob (Gail) Bruhnsen of Virginia; a number of nieces and nephews; and dog, Spock.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the family’s home Sunday, from noon to 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association in care of Ingram Funeral Home, which is completing arrangements.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Tonya; his mother Maggie Bruhnsen of Marysville; children, Alan (Brandy) Vermillion of Nebraska, James (Emma) Bruhnsen of LaRue, Jeramy (Jeremiah) Hamilton of Milford Center, Atileeta (Ryan) Honaker of Marion, Charlie (April) Levan of Pharisburg; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; a sister Suzy (John) Childers of Atlanta, GA, Bob (Gail) Bruhnsen of Virginia; a number of nieces and nephews and a grand-dog Spock.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the family home on October 8th from 12-4pm.
