Robert H. Martin, 90, of Marysville died Saturday, Oct. 16 at Memorial Hospital of Union County following a number of months of failing health.
“Bob” was a longtime member and Past Master of Palestine Lodge #158 F&AM. Active in masonry, he held a number of offices in Palestine Lodge, and was an Advisor to DeMolay. A 32 Degree York Rite Mason, he also held memberships in Marysville Chapter #99, S.S. Jewell Council #89, Bellefontaine Commandery #61 and was a member of Aladdin Temple Shrine and the Union County Shrine Club.
In his early years, he was in the Boy Scouts in Marysville and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He was an avid stamp and coin collector. An accomplished sportsman, he and his father enjoyed fishing in Brevort, Michigan and hunting antelope out west.
He was born June 3, 1931 in Delaware to the late Horace P. and O. Gertrude Snider Martin. He was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Robert Barnard Sr.
He is survived by a niece, Saundra (Sandip) Badhe of Connecticut; nephews, Robert (Leanne) Barnard Jr. of Vermont and John (Sharon) Barnard of Florida; and a number of great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held in the late spring of 2022. Ingram Funeral Home is completing arrangements.
