Ronald L. Sullivan, 77, of Broadway, passed away Tuesday afternoon, December 5, 2023, at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center after months of failing health.
Ron was born February 9, 1946, in Columbus to the late Jeremiah and Ruth (Desbennett) Sullivan. In his early years, he raised hogs alongside his wife, Darlene, and enjoyed farming in his community. A lifelong construction worker, he worked for several companies, including American golf course designer Pete Dye while he designed and worked with golfer Jack Nicklaus on The Golf Club near Columbus. After retiring from full time construction work, he worked for Taylor Township in Broadway.
Ron is survived by his wife of 56 years, the former Darlene A. Scott, whom he married in 1967; their son John (Debra) Sullivan of Broadway; granddaughters Christy and Ashley, as well as several great grandchildren; sister Cherry Miesse of Corning; brother Roy (Val) Sullivan of Arkansas; nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
