Rose A. Allison, 92, of Plain City died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019.
She was born March 20, 1927 in Champaign County to the late Clay G. and Jessie M. (Rittenhouse) Tooker.
She was a cheerleader while attending Woodstock High School and graduated in 1945 from London High School.
She was a member of the Plain City United Methodist Church and attended Ageless Bible School Class.
She was also a member of the International Order of Kings Daughters and Sons. She was a member of the Farm Bureau for over 50 years.
She enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She made quilt covers for veterans in hospitals and completed and donated over 94 quilts.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, James Frederick Allison, who died in 1988; siblings, Caroline Reams, Clay Tooker Jr., Mary Beatty, Norma Mabou David Michael “Hank” Tooker; and grandson-in-law, J.R. Lynch.
She is survived by her children, Steve (Donna) Allison, Claudia (Charles) Price and Molly (John) Orwick; grandchildren, Amy, Lori, Cari, Brian, Rachel, Susie, Jason, Becky; 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25, 2019 at Ferguson Funeral Home, 202 E. Main Street (Route 161 W) Plain City, where a memorial service will begin at 4 p.m. with Pastor Blaine Keene officiating.
