Roy L. Markle, 76, of Marysville, died Saturday afternoon, Dec. 8, 2018, at his home following a short illness.
A man of faith, he attended Bible Baptist Church in Marysville. He loved his family and will be greatly missed by all. He was an employee of Rockwell International in Newark and Marysville for 30 years.
He was born Dec. 2, 1942, in Dry Branch, West Virginia, to the late Roy L. and Leatha Arettia Hughes Markle. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Julia A. Woods, and brother, Carl Knute Markle.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sharon R. Kirk Markle; children, Brian L. Markle and Shelly (Tony) Smith; grandchildren, Jonathan, Devan and Alexis Smith and Adam Markle; brother-in-law, Ronald S. Kirk; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
The Rev. Jeremy Stout will officiate a memorial service to celebrate his life at 3 p.m. Saturday at Bible Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bible Baptist Church in care of Ingram Funeral Home, which is assisting the family. Memorial cards will be available at the church.

Roy was born December 2, 1942 in Dry Branch, W. Virginia to the late Roy L. and Leatha Arettia Hughes Markle. He was also preceded in death by a sister Julia A. Woods and a brother Carl Knute Markle.
