Ruby L. Robinson, 83, of Milford Center died Thursday, July 1 at Monarch Care Center following many months of failing health.
She was a long-time resident of Milford Center and a very giving person to both family and friends. She was also a long-time volunteer and instrumental in establishing The Clothes Closet in Milford Center, which later transitioned to the Hope Center in Marysville. She was involved with the Memorial Hospital Mobile Meals program in Milford and attended the Trinity Chapel, also in Milford.
She was born April 28, 1938 in Union County to the late Kenneth N. Kater and Maybelle Richardson Kater Campbell. She married Lester E. Robinson Jr., who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two children, Roland and Barbara Robinson; siblings, Kathryn Kater Carter and Jerry Kater; and step-mother, Verlia Holbrook Kater.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Richard L. and Deborah Robinson of Irwin and Stephen M. and Rosanne Robinson of Richwood; grandchildren, Tyler Robinson, Samantha (Mason) Polluck and Christine Miller; great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Maxton and Sullivan Polluck and John Miller; siblings, Danny (Diane) Campbell, Jean (David) Thornton, Bryce Kater, Karolyn Kater Frasure, Bonnie Kater Newland, John Kater, Gene Kater and Ronnie Kater; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Beth Clothier will officiate with burial to be in Milford Center.
