Scott Allen Wyeth, age 85, of Marysville, died Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Walnut Crossing Senior Living with his loving family by his side.
He was a retired associate of Denison Hydraulics in Marysville where he was a machinist for 55 years. A hard-working family man, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Aside from working faithfully at his career, he loved his personal space – HIS garage- where he “tinkered” with many projects through the years. He was passionate about Farmall Tractors and Ford trucks. He began his hobby with machines by making dune buggies, scooters, dirt bikes and street bikes and even turned his grandsons and son-in-law onto dirt bikes. They rode in Perry State Forest in Somerset and in Pennsylvania. He and his wife, Patty, even spent time riding across the country on his Honda 750 motorcycle, only to arrive back home and find that his driver’s license had been expired during the whole trip.
Scott also liked garden tractor pulls and demolition derbies. He truly loved all things with a motor and would find used machines that he “brought back to life.”
A lover of cats, birds and wildlife, Scott will be mostly remembered as an honest and trustworthy gentleman.
He was born June 3, 1938 in Vinton County, Ohio to the late Scott H. and Velma South Wyeth. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Steve, Helen and Ruth; and in-laws, Nancy Wyeth and Ralph Swick.
He is survived by his dear wife of 65 years, Patty Ann Swick Wyeth, whom he married August 1, 1958 in Pleasantville, Ohio; two daughters, Vicki Keeran of Marysville and Barbi (Dennis) Schnees of Milford Center; two grandsons, Levi (Lisa) Keeran of West Mansfield and Logan (Tricia) Keeran of Marysville; four great-grandchildren, Ella Rae, Elijah, Nolan and Mason; his sister-in-law, Lily Swick; his brother-in-law, Harmon Wyeth; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2024 at Underwood Funeral Home where the family will receive friends beginning at 3 p.m. Pastor Jason McDonald will officiate and burial will be held at a later date.
Because Scott lived with Trigeminal Neuralgia, contributions may be made to The Facial Pain Research Foundation in his memory. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or access www.facepain.org.
