Twyla “Polly” Tull, 92, of Marysville, died Thursday afternoon, May 23, 2019, at her home following a number of months of failing health.
She was formerly employed at Ranco in Plain City and operated a greenhouse with her husband for a number of years. During WW II, she worked at a pants factory that made Army pants to help with the war effort.
A natural go-getter, she enjoyed keeping busy by gardening, quilting, sewing, camping and traveling the country with her husband, Willie. For a number of years, she kept a camper at Indian Lake at Condo Camping and called it “The Hut.”
She was born Jan. 22, 1927, in Proctorville, to the late Ira and Callie Booth Huffman. She married Wilfred “Willie” Tull on Feb. 16, 1946, and he preceded her in death Nov. 24, 2005. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Mackey.
She is survived by her children, Alfred L. Tull, Debbie McCarty and her significant other, Charlie Goings, grandchildren, Kerrie (Brian) Schweinfurth, Kris Tull, Chad Mackey, Jamie (Kodie) Mackey, Stella McCarty, great-grandchildren, Noah, Faith, A.J. and Cameron Mackey, Keaton and Kallie Schweinfurth, Kadie Wright, and a host of friends.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Roy Burton officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery.
