Wanda Joy Hatcher, 88, of Dublin and formerly of Marysville, died Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Heartland of Dublin.
She grew up near Ostrander and worked in food service for Honda, schools and nursing homes for more than 50 years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, playing cards and socializing. She was proud of being the past department president of AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary.
She was born June 18, 1929, in Columbus, to the late Merlin H. and Katie (Lake) McIntire. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sons, Roger and Terry Hatcher; sisters, Lila Longworth, Susan Marshall and Kathy Engle; and brothers, Darrell and Eddie McIntire.
She is survived by her daughter, Ardella (Bill) Siders of Edinburg, Illinois; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Hatcher of Delaware; dear friend, Kay Gibbons of Marysville; grandchildren, Troy (Mary) Hatcher, Brian (Kim) Hatcher, Tyler (Michela) Coe, Billy (Brooke) Siders, Wendy Hatcher and Helen Gordon; 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; sister, Bonnie Spriggs; brothers, Woody (Janie) McIntire and Richard McIntire; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Robinson Funeral Home in Delaware. The Rev. Wayne Engle will officiate a funeral service at the funeral Home at 11 a.m. Monday. Burial will follow at Jerome Cemetery.
