Wathalyne Gregg, 85, of Marysville, died Saturday morning, April 6, 2019, at her home, following many months of failing health, with her daughter at her side.
She was employed, many years ago, at Ranco in Plain City and at Union County Memorial Hospital.
A person of strong determination, she never backed away from any task put ahead of her and especially took pride in the house she and her husband built and lived in together. In her early years of marriage, she and her daughters spent quality time together camping and enjoying other family activities together. Christmas being a very important holiday to her, she will be remembered for the many decorations she displayed in her home for the season.
A person of great faith, she was a member of the Living Waters Church of God. She lived her faith and demonstrated it in the way she cared for those around her and in her giving personality.
She was born January 18, 1934, in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky, to the late Lewis and Dovie Stokes McLemore.
She was married to Frederick “Fred” Gregg for 59 years. He preceded her in death December 27, 2013. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her daughters, Kathern “Gigi” North and Jacqueline Campbell; and a son-in-law, Ben Adkins.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Adkins of Marysville; son-in-law Rick North of London; grandchildren, Nicholas Herriott, Jason (Teresa) James, Kimberly Wells, Brandon (Amber) Stiltner; and sisters Wilma Campbell of North Carolina and Betty Deal of Florida.
Calling hours are scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the Ingram Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday with Pastor Mike Roehrenback officiating. Burial will follow at the Milford Center Cemetery.
