Winifred “Windy” Conley, 92, of Marysville died Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Memorial Hospital in Marysville.
He was born Sept. 10, 1927 in Oil Springs, Kentucky to the late Willie and Martha (Cantrell) Conley.
He retired after many years of service as a truck driver. He was also a member of the Marysville Freewill Baptist Church.
More than anything, he loved his family, friends and his dog, Duke. Nothing would make him smile more than when his grandchildren and great grandchildren would come and visit.
He is survived by his children, Brenda (Waymon) Mercer, Rick (Sandy) Conley, Ron (Pam) Conley and Randy (Libby) Conley; grandchildren, Patrick, Doug and Bo Mercer, Robert and Brian Conley, Shawn and Collin Conley, Desiree Levering, Colton and Nick Conley and Josh Conley; several great grandchildren; siblings, Charles Conley, Bill (Theresa) Conley, Neval Pennell, Patsey Runyon and Ann (Jack) Hatcher, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Ada Conley; his son, Michael Conley; brothers and sisters-in-laws, John Pennell, Naomi Conley, Ollie Newman, Bonita Runyon, Rev. C. A. Newman, Fred Runyon, Carl Runyon and Don Runyon; niece, Shelia Runyon and nephews, Donald Ray Pennell, Dean Conley, Jack Conley and Carl Runyon Jr.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, 2020 in the Skillman, McDonald and Vernon Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17 in the funeral home with the Rev. Jerry Newman officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.
Due to the restrictions of COVID-19, guidelines set by Governor DeWine’s office will be followed. The use of a face mask is required.
