According to Marysville Police Department reports:
Pablo Ramos-Rodriquez, 34, whose address was not listed, was cited for vandalism at 12:01 a.m. Thursday. Reports indicate the citation was tied to an incident on April 1, 2020 in which buildings were damaged in the 1800 block of Cooks Blvd. The report notes that a blood swab was collected from a broken window.
Bill Jason Bartley, 47, of Alum Creek Drive was cited for theft and forgery in the 100 block of Coleman’s Crossing Blvd. at 8:34 p.m. Thursday. Reports indicate the citations stemmed from a Jan. 27 incident in which Bartley allegedly used a fake check to open an account and withdraw money from Merchants National Bank.
Police responded to a report of theft by deception in the 500 block of Restoration Drive at 10:16 a.m. Thursday. Reports indicate the subject indicated he was the victim of unemployment fraud.
Police responded to a report of identity theft in the 500 block of Chestnut Street at 10:13 p.m. Thursday. The reporting person indicated she received a 1099-G tax form for benefits she did not request.
Police responded to a report of identity theft in the 600 block of W. Seventh Street at 10:17 a.m. Thursday. The reporting person indicated an unknown person filed for unemployment benefits on her behalf.
Police responded to a report of identity theft in the 1700 block of Creekview Drive at 4:13 p.m. Thursday. The reporting person indicated her husband’s employer advised that their payment processor identified an instance in which their identities were used to file fraudulent unemployment claims.
Police responded to a report of identity theft in the 1700 block of Creekview Drive at 3:51 p.m. Thursday. The reporting person indicated his name was used to file a fraudulent unemployment claim.
Police responded to a report of identity theft in the 400 block of Morning Star Drive at 11:57 a.m. Thursday. The reporting person indicated he received a 1099-G tax form that indicated he received $960 in unemployment compensation, but he did not apply for unemployment benefits.
Police responded to a report of identity theft in the 200 block of Fairview Avenue at 4:32 p.m. Thursday.
Police responded to a report of theft in the 1700 block of Damos Way at 5:52 p.m. Thursday. The reporting person indicated that someone stole full gas cans from his driveway “sometime in the last five days.”

Deputies and units from the Northwestern Fire District responded to a residence in the 26000 block of Route 739 for an overdose at 2:42 a.m. Thursday.
A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 13000 block of Fladt Road to investigate identity theft involving a fraudulent unemployment claim at 8:22 a.m. Thursday.
A deputy and a Union County Adult Probation Officer went to a residence in the 200 block of N. Cherry Street to arrest Jason K. Barker, 46, of Marysville for a probation violation at 10:17 a.m. Thursday. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy was sent to a correctional facility in the 18000 block of Route 4 to take custody of Todd A. Schaffner, 57, of Marysville for a probation violation at 10:45 a.m. Thursday. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 8400 block of Ryan Parkway to investigate identity theft involving a fraudulent unemployment claim at 11:44 a.m. Thursday.
A deputy was sent to a residence on South Main Street in Magnetic Springs to investigate identity theft involving a fraudulent unemployment claim at 2 p.m. Thursday.
A deputy met with a Westerville Police Department officer to take custody of Jon M. Settlemire, 57, of Marion for an outstanding arrest warrant at 3:17 p.m. Thursday. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy met with a Columbus Police Department officer to take custody of Jeremy D. Ball, 40, of Columbus and Kristy J. Schneider, 44, of Grove City for outstanding arrest warrants at 4:54 p.m. Thursday. Both were transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 13000 block of Route 47 to investigate identity theft involving a fraudulent unemployment claim at 5:21 p.m. Thursday.
A deputy was sent to a residence in the 7500 block of Sunlight Loop to investigate a domestic dispute between an ex-girlfriend and ex-boyfriend at 5:32 p.m. Thursday.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 32000 block of Cobb Harriman Road for a domestic dispute between a mother and son at 6:10 p.m. Thursday. As a result of the investigation, a juvenile was arrested and transported to the Central Ohio Youth Center.
A deputy investigated identity theft involving a fraudulent unemployment claim that was received at a residence in the 9000 block of Durban Road at 6:49 p.m. Thursday.
Deputies and units from the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Jerome Township Fire Department responded to a property in the 7000 block of Harriott Road for a possible suicide at 7 p.m. Thursday. A person was found deceased and the Union County Coroner was called to the scene.
A deputy went to the Montgomery County Jail to take custody of Keith E. Kelly, Jr., 31, of Dayton for an outstanding arrest warrant at 11 p.m. Thursday. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
