Police responded to a report of menacing in the 500 block of W. Third Street at 12:47 a.m. Wednesday.
Police responded to a report of identity theft at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday. The reporting person indicated he received a notice from the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services with a temporary PIN number for unemployment benefits, though he did not file for assistance.
Police responded to a report of theft in the 100 block of Taylor Avenue at 3:23 p.m. Wednesday. The reporting person indicated a video game system was taken from their residence.
Police responded to a report of criminal damaging/endangering in the 600 block of E. Fifth Street at 4:07 p.m. Wednesday. An employee at AutoZone noticed that a store window was broken.
Police responded to the scene of an accident involving Tami R. Farmer, 55, of Wheeler Green Road and Johnny Lee Smith, 53, of S. Main Street that occurred on Delaware Avenue at 1:36 p.m. Wednesday. Reports indicate Farmer was southbound on Coleman’s Crossing, attempting to turn left onto Delaware Avenue. Smith was northbound on Coleman’s Crossing, attempting to turn right onto Delaware Avenue. “The driver’s stories are conflicting as to who was at fault,” according to the police report. While turning, their vehicles collided. There were no witnesses and the traffic camera that monitors the intersection was pointed in the opposite direction. Neither driver experienced any apparent injuries. No citations are listed.
Police responded to the scene of an accident involving Kaitlyn Maryann Jones, 20, of Pleasant Ridge Drive and Deborah J. Root, 71, of Terrace Court that occurred on S. Walnut Street at 2:56 p.m. Wednesday. Reports indicate Root was driving northbound on S. Walnut Street while Jones was making a left turn out of a parking lot to head northbound on S. Walnut Street. Jones struck the driver’s side of Root’s vehicle. Neither driver experienced any apparent injuries. Jones was cited for driving onto the roadway.
According to Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 22000 block of Bear Swamp Road for a person threatening self-harm at 6:31 a.m. Wednesday.
A deputy investigated a property damage crash involving a 2011 Chevrolet Impala that was struck by a 2003 Honda CR-V that occurred at the intersection of Collins Road and Payne Road at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday.
Deputies responded to the 11000 block of Jerome Road to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2004 Mack dump truck that lost control, drove off the road, struck several mailboxes and a guardrail and then drove into a culvert at 11:55 a.m. Wednesday.
A deputy went to the Franklin County Jail to take custody of Muhidin M. Mohamed, 30, of Marysville for an outstanding arrest warrant at 12:25 p.m. Wednesday. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 23000 block of Dayton Avenue in Raymond to investigate identity theft involving a fraudulent unemployment claim at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Deputies were sent to a residence in the 15000 block of Hawn Road to investigate a neighbor dispute over snow removal at 3:04 p.m. Wednesday.
Deputies and units from the Northern Union County Fire and EMS District, the Northwestern Fire District and the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to Route 31 near Harmon Patrick Road for a property damage crash involving a 2012 Volvo semi-truck that lost control, jack-knifed and struck a guard rail at 3:32 p.m. Wednesday.
A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 10000 block of Harriott Road to investigate identity theft involving a computer scam at 4:23 p.m. Wednesday.
Deputies investigated damage to the mirror of a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado that occurred while the vehicle was parked at a property in the 7900 block of Route 38 at 4:47 p.m. Wednesday.
A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 17000 block of Dog Leg Road to investigate identity theft involving a fraudulent unemployment claim at 5:43 p.m. Wednesday.
A deputy responded to the 20000 block of Route 4 to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2015 Ford F-150 that struck a deer at 7:02 p.m. Wednesday.
A deputy was sent to the Franklin County Jail to take custody of Sterling D. Robinson, 25, of Columbus for an outstanding arrest warrant at 7:58 p.m. Wednesday. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 18000 block of Raymond Road for an unruly juvenile at 10:52 p.m. Wednesday.
