Police responded to a report of telephone harassment in the 16000 block of Square Drive at 10 a.m. Monday. The reporting person advised a former employee of Village Pantry repeatedly calls and comes to the store “causing a scene” about receiving her W2 form.
Police responded to a report of a dispute in the 600 block of Milford Avenue at 12:26 p.m. Monday. The reporting person advised she is in a dispute with her ex-partner over her mail.
Police responded to a report of identity theft in the 16000 block of Square Drive at 10:43 a.m. Monday. The reporting person advised that someone attempted to file for unemployment benefits under her maiden name. She indicated a request was faxed to her business.
Police responded to a report of identity theft in the 600 block of London Avenue at 11:05 a.m. Monday. The reporting person advised he received a 1099-G form indicating he received $960 in unemployment benefits, but he is retired and did not file for benefits.
Police responded to a report of identity theft in the 200 block of Todd Court at 12:16 p.m. Monday. The reporting person indicated she received a 1099-G form but did not file for unemployment benefits.
According to Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:
A deputy was sent to a business on Brown Street in Milford Center to investigate an email scam involving an employee’s paycheck at 9:02 a.m. Monday.
A deputy investigated identity theft involving a fraudulent unemployment claim that was received at a residence in the 21000 block of Johnson Road at 9:27 a.m. Monday.
A deputy was dispatched to a property in the 15000 block of Watkins Road to investigate a trespassing complaint involving a utility company at 10 a.m. Monday.
A deputy responded to a business in the 12000 block of Route 4 to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2007 Nissan Frontier that struck a building at 10:20 a.m. Monday.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 23000 block of Route 739 for a person threatening self-harm at 11:12 a.m. Monday.
A deputy arrested James A. Beswick, 38, of Marysville for an outstanding arrest warrant when he turned himself in at the Sheriff’s Office at 12:50 p.m. Monday. He was released on a recognizance bond.
A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 6800 block of Weldon Road to investigate a vehicle break-in where multiple tools were stolen at 12:59 p.m. Monday.
Deputies were sent to a residence in the 16000 block of Hillview Road for a domestic dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend at 2:30 p.m. Monday.
Deputies and units from the Northwestern Fire District responded to the 27000 block of Route 739 for a property damage crash involving a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu that lost control while passing another vehicle, then drove off the road and into a field at 4:27 p.m. Monday. The driver, Corry M. Reed, 28, of Marion was issued a traffic citation for improper passing.
A deputy was sent to the Adult Probation Office on Route 4 to take custody of Keith R. Saxton, 35, of Port Clinton for a bond violation at 5:09 p.m. Monday. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Brown Street in Milford Center to investigate identity theft involving a fraudulent unemployment claim at 5:14 p.m. Monday.
Deputies were sent to a residence in the 18000 block of Raymond Road for an unruly juvenile at 6:27 p.m. Monday.
Deputies and units from the Jerome Township Fire Department were sent to a residence in the 9100 block of Tartan Fields Drive for a person experiencing a mental health crisis at 7:10 p.m. Monday. The person was transported to Dublin Methodist Hospital.
