According to Plain City Police Department reports:
Officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute on North Chillicothe Street at 11:04 p.m. Feb. 8.
A complainant contacted officers via public service at 7:12 p.m. Feb. 8 about an identity theft on Plumwood Court. The complainant advised that her employer had received an unemployment claim for her. The officers advised the complainant that she needed to report the incident the Department of Jobs and Family Services and to the Ohio Attorney General’s website. The officer advised the complainant to be aware of suspicious vehicles around her mailbox, due to individuals stealing that information without the owner knowing. The officer advised the complainant to contact PCPD if she noticed anything suspicious.
Officers were dispatched to Murlay Drive at 1:04 a.m. Feb. 7 in reference to a 911 follow-up.
An officer observed a vehicle without lights on, with an occupant in the driver’s seat in the lot of Plain City Lanes on South Jefferson Avenue at 1:42 a.m. Feb. 7. The officer made contact with the vehicle driver, who advised he was parked in the lot to make a phone call. The officer advised the driver he could make his call but needed to leave immediately after.
An officer was requested by the Union County Sheriff’s Officer to assist with a BAC test at the Police Department at 7:22 p.m. Feb. 7.
An officer was dispatched to the area of South Chillicothe Street near Jackson Street at 12:22 a.m. Feb. 6 in reference to potential gunshots being fired. The officer checked the area but was unable to hear or see anything out of the ordinary.
An officer was requested by an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper to meet at the Police Department at 1:45 a.m. Feb. 6 to complete a BAC test on his arrestee.
Officers responded to a report of a deceased individual on South Chillicothe Street at 7:45 a.m. Feb. 6.
Officers responded to an alarm drop at Der Dutchman on South Jefferson Avenue at 4:37 p.m. Feb. 6.
Officers responded to a suspicious person around the Plain City Aquatic Center on West Second Street at 8:07 p.m. Feb. 6. Upon arrival, officers searched the listed location and were unable to locate the people or any signs of forced entry. Officers advised the caller to call PCPD if he saw the subjects return to the area.
Officers responded to Middlefield Bank on South Jefferson Avenue for an alarm drop at 2:20 p.m. Feb. 5.
Officers responded to North Avenue for a neighbor dispute at 8:42 p.m. Feb. 5.
An officer initiated a traffic stop with a vehicle on U.S. 42 at 11:24 p.m. Feb. 5. The officer made contact with the driver, Jennifer Dickey, who was a suspended driver and her front-seat passenger, Sierra Bowers. Bowers had active warrants out of the Champaign County Sheriff’s Officer for contempt of court x3. She was placed into custody for her warrant and was later transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail. Dickey received a traffic citation for OVI suspension, 12-point suspension, no valid operator’s license and major offense/court suspension.
Officers responded to Doe Street at 3:49 p.m. Feb. 4 regarding a report of identity theft. The complainant advised that he had received a notice from his employer that he had filed for unemployment. The complainant filed a police report per the Attorney General reporting system. The officer advised the complainant to inform PCPD if he receives anything else suspicious.
Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle and person on West Main Street at 4:27 p.m. Feb. 4. Officers patrolled the surrounding area and were unable to locate the vehicle.
Officers responded to a loose dog complaint on South Chillicothe Street at 4:56 p.m. Feb. 4. Officers made contact with the dog owner and advised him of the repercussions if his dog gets loose again. The dog owner indicated they understood the consequences that he could face.
Officers responded to Central Avenue at 6:43 p.m. Feb. 4 for a littering complaint. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the complainant, who advised that she had observed a black plow truck pushing snow and gravel on her yard and tearing up her grass. The officers will attempt to contact neighbors who might know suspects during the officer’s next shift. The officers then returned to patrol.
Officers responded to an open door at She Stages Columbus on North Chillicothe Street at 11:25 p.m. Feb. 4.

An officer observed a white Chihuahua without a collar walking on the street on South Chillicothe Street at 4:43 p.m. Feb. 3. The dog was returned to the owner.
An officer was requested to assist the Pleasant Valley Fire Department with an attempted suicide on Lewis Circle at 8:20 a.m. Feb. 2. The subject was transported to a hospital and the residence was secured.
A complainant called the police department at 2:20 p.m. Feb. 2 because he wanted to have an officer provide help with traffic control while he moved snow at the Plain City Public Library on West Main Street.
An officer was dispatched to Sequoia Court at 10:48 p.m. Feb. 3 in reference to a possible burglary in progress.
