According to Marysville Police Department reports:
Police responded to a report of drug abuse and possession of a drug abuse instrument in the 200 block of West Third Street at midnight Friday. Reports indicate the reporting person contacted MPD in reference to a possible overdose. In response to the incident, police seized a glass jar with a black lid containing “what is described as heroin,” as well as a hypodermic needle placed in a sharps container. There were no contents within the needle.
Police responded to the scene of an accident involving Dallas Jeffry Runyon, 29, of Mt. Parry and Jeffrey D. Duffey, 65, of Ashley which occurred on U.S. 33 at U.S. 36 at 3:57 a.m. Feb. 28. Reports indicate Runyon was traveling westbound on U.S. 33 when he advised that he observed his engine revving up, prompting him to pull over. Runyon observed that he was missing two of his driver side tires that were mounted on the trailer being towed. The tires had come off of the trailer, crossed the median and entered the roadway traveling the opposite direction, U.S. 33 eastbound. One of the rims of the tire struck the front driver side quarterpanel of Duffey’s vehicle. Reports indicate neither driver experienced any apparent injuries. Runyon was cited for operating an unsafe vehicle.
Jacob Allen Smith, 24, of Richwood was arrested on a warrant service arrest in the 31000 block of Winnemac Road at 5:04 a.m. Saturday. Reports indicate the arrest stemmed from a call Feb. 28 indicating Smith was overdosing. When officers arrived, he woke up for them and agreed to be transported to Memorial Hospital. Smith apologized for relapsing and said he was at a sober living house and found heroin and a needle in his pants pocket and found it difficult not to use it. Once released medically, he was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
Jane E. Mudgett, 53, of Hillview Road was arrested for assault – knowingly harming the victim and obstructing official business in the 700 block of E. Fourth Street at 10:38 p.m. Saturday.
Nicholas Andrew Mudgett, 30, of Hillview Road was arrested for possessing an open container in a vehicle in the 700 block of E. Fourth Street at 10:38 p.m. Saturday.
Police responded to a report of a suspicious person in the 500 block of London Avenue at 1:21 p.m. Saturday.
Police responded to a report of criminal damaging or endangering in the 600 block of E. Fourth Street at 3:46 p.m. Saturday. Reports indicate a motor vehicle sustained interior damage, as it was left abandoned since October 2019.
Police responded to a report of menacing in the 400 block of N. Maple Street at 6:25 p.m. Saturday. Reports indicate MPD responded to the Bark Park on the report of a dispute in which a subject pulled a firearm on the other person involved in the dispute. After investigation, no firearm was determined to be present, but a threat of use of a firearm was made.
Police responded to a suicide threat in the 400 block of Bridgewater Drive at 9:11 a.m. Saturday.
Police responded to a suicide threat in the 100 block of Northcrest Drive Saturday at 11:12 p.m.
Police responded to a report of recovered property in the 400 block of Mill Wood Blvd. at 12:37 p.m. Sunday. Reports indicate U.S. currency was found on the road.
Police responded to a report of lost property in the 100 block of N. Main Street at 4:40 p.m. Sunday. Reports indicate a wallet was reported lost.
Police responded to a report of theft in the 15000 block of U.S. 36 at 6:08 p.m. Sunday. Reports indicate a theft from Tractor Supply Company.
Police responded to a report of domestic violence – knowingly causing physical harm in the 200 block of W. Third Street at 10:06 p.m. Sunday. Reports indicate a male was taken into custody.
Police responded to a report of theft in the 400 block of Chestnut Street at 8:46 p.m. Sunday. Reports indicate mail was stolen.
According to Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:
A Union County deputy met with a Marion County deputy to take custody of Jessica S. Clevenger, 40, of Bucyrus for an outstanding arrest warrant at 10:28 a.m. Friday. She was taken to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
Deputies responded to a residence on Short Street in Milford Center to investigate a report of an assault at 10:54 a.m. Friday. As a result, a deputy arrested Johnathan R. Schlecht, 25, of Milford Center for assault and transported him to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy was sent to the Franklin County Jail to take custody of Johnny R. McClarren, 23, of Circleville for an outstanding arrest warrant at 2:18 p.m. Friday. He was taken to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy was sent to a business complex in the 900 block of London Avenue in Marysville to investigate a report of harassing phone calls at 2:51 p.m. Friday.
As a result of a traffic stop on U.S. 33 near mile marker 22, a deputy arrested Derek T. Heminger, 36, of Marysville for an outstanding arrest warrant at 7:54 p.m. Friday. He was transported to the Marysville Police Department and released after posting bond.
A deputy went to the Franklin County Jail to take custody of Dannette A. Lowery, 49, of Columbus for an outstanding arrest warrant at 12:16 a.m. Saturday. She was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Short Street in Milford Center to investigate a report of a male threatening self-harm at 2:09 a.m. Saturday.
A deputy met with an officer from the Grove City Police Department to take custody of Tyler W. Thomas Jr., 42, of Grove City for an outstanding arrest warrant at 8:28 a.m. Saturday. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy investigated a theft complaint that occurred at a residence in the 12000 block of Beecher Gamble Road at 2:23 p.m. Saturday.
A deputy was dispatched to the 27000 block of Route 31 to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2005 Toyota Tacoma that struck two mailboxes at 5:03 p.m. Saturday. The driver, Diane M. Lanthorn, 75, of Richwood was issued a traffic citation for failure to control.
A deputy was dispatched to the 22000 block of Johnson Road to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2010 Dodge Caravan that struck a deer at 7:21 p.m. Saturday.
A deputy investigated a fraud complaint that occurred at a residence in the 22000 block of Northwest Parkway at 8:14 p.m. Saturday.
Deputies and units from the Leesburg Township Fire Department and Marysville Fire Department were dispatched to a residence in the 13000 block of Trout Road for an unresponsive person at 9:30 p.m. Saturday. The person was pronounced deceased and the Union County Coroner was called to the scene.
A deputy went to the area of the 17000 block of Allen Center Road to investigate a report of vandalism to a mailbox at 7:41 a.m. Sunday.
Deputies and units from the Southeast Hardin Norwest Union Fire District responded to a residence in the 19000 block of Cunningham Arbela Road to investigate a report of an unresponsive person at 9:58 a.m. Sunday. The person was pronounced deceased and the Union County Coroner was called to the scene.
A deputy was sent to a storage facility in the 26000 block of Route 37 to investigate a theft at 2:21 p.m. Sunday.
A deputy met with a unit from the Delaware City Police Department to take custody of Lynn A. Miller, 44, of Plain City for an outstanding arrest warrant at 7:45 p.m. Sunday. He was taken to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
Deputies and units from the Marysville Fire Department were dispatched to a residence in the 16000 block of Paver Barnes Road to investigate an unresponsive person at 8:41 p.m. Sunday. The person was pronounced deceased and the Union County Coroner was called to the scene.

Tytus Andrew Miller, 32, of Marysville was cited for operating a vehicle while under the influence and driving with a suspended license on U.S. 33 eastbound at 1:37 a.m. Sunday.
