According to Plain City Police Department reports:
An officer responded to a parking complaint on Alderwood Circle at 3:29 p.m. March 13. The vehicle was moved without incident.
Officers were advised of a possible issue between employees at Lee’s Sports and Spirits on West Bigelow Avenue at 11:19 p.m. March 13. After further investigation, there was no issue and officers advised to call the police department if anything arose in the future.
During a traffic stop on Route 161 at 12:58 a.m. March 12, officers arrested Jayna McCollister, 32, of Delaware for operating a vehicle while under the influence. McCollister submitted to a blood alcohol content test, which resulted in a 0.125 BAC. She was issued a citation for OVI and advised of her court date. She was later released to a family member.
An officer was requested to assist the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a blood alcohol content test at the Plain City Municipal Building on Village Boulevard at 2:23 a.m. March 12. The individual refused and the officer returned to patrol.
An officer was dispatched for a suspicious person that was seen looking through vehicle windows on South Chillicothe Street at 3:44 a.m. March 12. The officer canvassed the area but was unable to locate anyone.
An officer responded to an unauthorized use of a vehicle complaint on Central Avenue at 10:03 a.m. March 12. After further investigation, the officer found that the incident occurred in the City of Columbus and referred the caller to the Columbus Police Department.
An officer was dispatched to Coachman Drive at 12:22 p.m. March 12 for a possible telecommunication harassment complaint. The caller advised she was getting spam text messages. The officer advised the individual to block unknown numbers to avoid getting spam calls or texts.
An officer responded to debris in the roadway on North Avenue at 3:22 p.m. March 12. The officer removed the hazard and disposed of it.
An officer responded to a neighbor dispute complaint on North Avenue at 12:08 a.m. March 11. The caller advised he and his neighbor were in a verbal dispute about his neighbor using power tools late at night. The neighbor advised he would remain quiet for the rest of the evening.
An officer found a dome light on in a parked vehicle on Lantern Lane at 2:03 a.m. March 11. Contact with the owner was made and she advised everything was fine.
An officer was requested to deliver a message to a homeowner on South Chillicothe Street at 10:58 a.m. March 11. A short time later, the officer made contact with a family member and relayed the message.
During a traffic stop on South Chillicothe Street at 6:04 p.m. March 11, officers arrested the passenger of the vehicle, Jonathan DeBoard, 25, of Columbus for confirmed warrants out of Franklin County. DeBoard had marijuana on his person and was issued a criminal summons for possession of marijuana. DeBoard was released to a Franklin County deputy. The driver of the vehicle, Tiffany Patton, 26, of Columbus was issued a citation for no valid operator’s license. The vehicle was driven from the scene by another party.
An officer assisted a Madison County Sheriff’s Office with traffic control at Jonathan Alder High School on U.S. 42 at 6:40 a.m. March 10.
An officer responded to a vehicle complaint on Madison Avenue Apartments on Madison Avenue at 9:42 a.m. March 10. After further investigation, the driver of the vehicle, Calvin Spencer, 26, of Columbus was arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant out of Madison County. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
An officer responded to conduct a well-being check on Gray Street at 12:08 p.m. March 10. The officer was advised that everything was fine.
An officer responded to a solicitor complaint on Maple Street at 4:40 p.m. March 10. The individuals said they worked for Verizon and did not have a solicitor permit for the Village of Plain City. Subsequently, Pedro Ortega, 25, of New Brunswick, New Jersey and Ashardonay Phillips, 19, of Columbus were issued a summons for soliciting without a permit.
An officer responded to a report of a possible sex offense that occurred on Alderwood Circle at 5:46 p.m. March 10. The investigation is ongoing.
An officer was dispatched to Willowbend Circle at 6:57 p.m. March 10 for a possible tracker on a vehicle. The vehicle was inspected and nothing was located.
An officer found a garage door open on Alderwood Circle at 1:04 a.m. March 9. Contact was made with the homeowner, who advised everything was fine and he forgot to close it.
An officer found a backup camera on in a vehicle at Allstate on West Main Street at 1:20 a.m. March 9. The owner was contacted and he advised everything was fine and he accidentally left the camera on.
An officer responded to an alarm drop at Dollar General on South Jefferson Avenue at 6:33 a.m. March 9 and was advised everything was fine.
An officer responded to Domino’s Pizza on West Main Street at 9:19 a.m. March 9 for an employee being locked out of the building. The officer was able to unlock the building.
An officer responded to Villa Drive for a barking dog complaint at 8:13 p.m. March 8. Contact was made with the animal owner and he was given a verbal warning.
During a traffic stop on West Main Street at 10:51 p.m. March 8, officers arrested Duane Pyles, 37, of Marysville for a confirmed warrant out of Beavercreek. Pyles was released to an officer with the Beavercreek Police Department.
