According to Plain City Police Department reports:
An officer responded to North Avenue at 11:30 a.m. March 31 for a domestic violence complaint. After further investigation, Ethan Harrison, 19, of Plain City was arrested and charged with domestic violence. Harrison was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
During a traffic stop on North Avenue at 6:24 p.m. March 31, officers arrested Lorenzo McLaurin, 25, of Plain City for a confirmed warrant out of the Hilliard Police Department. He was placed into custody without incident and was released to an HPD officer. McLaurin was also given a warning for expired registration.
An officer responded to a private property non-injury accident at Der Dutchman on South Jefferson Avenue at 7:13 p.m. March 31. The parties exchanged information and an incident report was taken.
An officer found a door open on a vehicle parked at the North Avenue Apartments on North Avenue at 8:11 p.m. March 31. The officer attempted to make contact with the owner but was unsuccessful. The door was secured and a follow-up with the owner will again be attempted.
An officer found the rear hatch open on a vehicle parked on Nighthawk Drive at 11:09 p.m. March 31. Contact was made with the owner, who advised everything was fine and secured the door.
Officers were requested by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office to assist with an alarm drop on Smith-Calhoun Road at 11:49 p.m. March 31. Once their assistance was no longer needed, they returned to patrol.
An officer observed a dome light on in a parked vehicle on Willowbend Circle at 1:43 a.m. March 30. Contact was made with the owner, who advised it was left on by mistake and turned the light off.
An officer responded to a well-being check on Stenner Court at 12:42 p.m. March 30. The individual advised everything was fine.
An officer was dispatched to a stop sign on a no-name alley that was laying in the ground following storm damage, at 1:15 p.m. March 30. The Public Works Department was notified and employees advised they would replace it.
An officer responded to Warrenton Drive at 8:04 p.m. March 30 for a report of possible identity fraud. The caller advised that several credit cards had been opened with his information. He advised that all accounts were terminated and he reported it to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office. An incident report was also taken by PCPD.
An officer found a rear window open on a parked vehicle on Cooper Lane at 11:21 p.m. March 30. Items were visible in the vehicle. Contact was made with the owner, who moved the vehicle onto her property, where the items could not be seen.
An officer found a large traffic cone in the middle of the roadway on West Avenue at 11:28 p.m. March 30. He removed the cone.
Officers responded to a loose canine complaint at the Plain City Municipal Building on Village Boulevard at 2:54 a.m. March 29. The officers attempted to catch the dog but were unsuccessful.
An officer responded to a parking complaint on North Chillicothe Street at 1:56 p.m. March 29. The owner of the vehicle was contacted and stated she would move the vehicle.
An officer responded to Richwood Bank on West Main Street at 2:34 p.m. March 29 for a complaint of a customer raising his voice at employees, who also had an odor of alcohol. The customer left before the officer arrived, but the business asked that the incident be documented, without trespassing the customer.
An officer observed a vehicle on a property on Lafayette-Plain City Road “that no one is supposed to be on” at 4:45 p.m. March 28. Contact was made with the vehicle owner and he moved his vehicle without incident.
An officer responded to a driving complaint on East Main Street at 2:11 p.m. March 28. Contact was made with the driver, who advised he was not familiar with the area. The officer advised the driver to be more cautious when driving.
An officer responded to an alarm drop at Taylor Autobody on West Main Street at 1:59 a.m. March 28. The officer found all doors secured and nothing out of the ordinary. The alarm company advised the alarm was accidental.
An officer responded to a parking complaint on North Avenue at 8:26 p.m. March 28. The vehicle was moved without incident.
Officers responded in reference to a dispute at the North Avenue Apartments on North Avenue at 9:21 p.m. March 27. Contact was made with all parties and they advised they would remain civil.
An officer was dispatched to Plain City Ace Hardware on West Main Street at 5:44 p.m. March 27 in reference to a possible non-injury hit-skip crash. The caller reported he swerved to avoid a collision with an oncoming vehicle and his left rear passenger window broke. After further investigation, there was no crash that occurred and the items within the vehicle broke the window when the driver swerved.
An officer found a parked vehicle with its interior lights on, on Church Street at 1:32 a.m. March 27. Contact was made with the owner, who advised he left them on by accident and turned them off.
An officer responded to a parking complaint on West Avenue at 9:21 a.m. March 26. The vehicle was moved without incident.
A caller advised at 9:51 a.m. March 26 that she has been receiving numerous spam calls. The officer advised her to block unknown numbers to avoid getting spam calls.
An officer responded to a loose canine complaint and located the canine at Daily Needs Assistance on West Main Street at 2:08 a.m. March 26. A short time later, the owner arrived and retrieved the dog. The owner was warned for animals running at large.
Officers responded to an alarm drop at Tique Tock on South Chillicothe Street at 5:08 p.m. March 26. The officer found all doors secured and nothing out of the ordinary. The alarm company advised that the alarm drop was accidental.
An officer found a parked vehicle with the passenger door open and headlights on, on West Main Street at 1:36 a.m. March 25. Contact was made with the owner, who advised she was removing items from her vehicle and everything was fine.
An officer found a GMC SUV parked in the Darby Station lot on route 161 at 7:32 p.m. March 25. Contact was made with the driver, who advised he was there working.
An officer responded to an unemployment scam on Hawthorne Drive at 4:57 p.m. March 25. The caller advised he received a letter from the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services about a PIN number change. He contacted ODJFS and was advised to file a police report.
Officers responded to a neighbor dispute complaint on Dry Street at 3:39 p.m. March 25. The caller advised his neighbor left tire tracks in front of his residence. The neighbor advised it was an accident. An investigation is ongoing.
During a traffic stop on South Chillicothe Street at 2:54 p.m. March 25, William Beddow, 31, of Plain City was issued traffic citations for FRA suspension and no valid operator’s license. Beddow was given a courtesy ride and the vehicle was towed the PCPD impound lot.
