According to Plain City Police Department reports:
An officer was requested by the Union County Sheriff’s Office at 3:05 p.m. April 11 to respond to Business Way in reference to an alarm drop.
Officers observed a subject driving a blue Ford F150 at the Stone Ridge Mobile Home Park on West Main Street at 4:04 a.m. April 11. The officer had prior knowledge that the subject was out past curfew and initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle. The subject was warned for the curfew violation and the officer followed the subject back to their residence. The officer gave a courtesy transport to the passenger to take them home.
Officers were dispatched to North Avenue at 2:57 a.m. April 11 in reference to an unconscious overdose. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with the female subject and Derick Long. Long was subsequently charged for dangerous drug abuse instruments.
Officers observed a red Ford Edge and red Honda Accord behind Plain City Elementary School on South Chillicothe Street at 2:07 a.m. The officers determined everything was fine.
While on patrol, an officer observed that all the traffic lights at West Main Street and U.S. 42 were flashing red at 3:59 p.m. April 11. The officer conducted traffic control until the light was made functional.
Officers responded to North Avenue at 11:15 a.m. April 10 in reference to a disturbance. Upon further investigation, it was learned that Brandy Rayburn and a victim were involved in a physical altercation. Rayburn was issued a summons for domestic violence.
An officer responded to North Avenue at 6:32 p.m. April 10 in reference to a well-being check. After determining the child was not at risk, the officer returned to patrol.
While on patrol, an officer observed that all of the traffic lights at West Main Street and U.S. 42 were flashing red at 5:41 p.m. April 10. The officer conducted traffic control at the intersection until the lights were made functional.
An officer responded to RBI Construction on North Chillicothe Street at 1:08 p.m. April 10 in reference to an alarm drop.
An officer responded to Main Street Nails on West Main Street at 4:13 a.m. April 10 in reference to an open door.
An officer responded to Plain City Self Storage on Carlisle Avenue at 1:28 a.m. April 10 in reference to an open door.
An officer conducted a routine registration check on a green Suzuki sedan on North Chillicothe Street at 3:02 p.m. April 10. The officer then made contact with the vehicle driver, Amber Carter, and her juvenile driver. After a probable cause search, Carter was placed into custody and taken to the Tri-County Regional Jail. Carter was booked in on receiving stolen property, no valid operator’s license, failure to reinstate and plate/identification mark belonging to another motor vehicle. Carter’s daughter was released to a family friend.
An officer responded to North Avenue at 1:04 p.m. April 9 with the previous knowledge that Tabitha Smith had an entered warrant for her arrest out of the Marysville Municipal Court for a probation violation. Smith was placed under arrest and transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail without issue.
Officers received a call about an intoxicated female causing issues at Lee’s Sports and Spirits on West Bigelow Avenue at 10:02 p.m. April 9. Jennifer Ball was transported to the police department where she was issued a summons for disorderly conduct. She was later released to a family friend.
An officer was dispatched to West Avenue at 9:03 p.m. April 9 in reference to a driving complaint. The complainant advised dispatch that a vehicle had driven through their yard and turned southbound on Carriage Drive. The officer checked the area and also located the tracks in the right-of-way at another residence on West Avenue. The officer patrolled the area but was unable to locate a suspect vehicle.
An officer initiated a traffic stop with a silver Honda sedan on South Chillicothe Street at 5:33 p.m. April 9. The vehicle driver, Clay Andree and his passenger, Ean Turner both advised the officer that they did not have valid driver’s licenses. It was also found that Turner had an active warrant out of the Hilliard Police Department for a dangerous drug charge. Both parties were placed into custody for drug paraphernalia and taken to the Tri-County Regional Jail. Andree was also issued a traffic citation for turn signal, no valid operator’s license and non-compliance suspension. The vehicle was later released to the registered owner.
An officer was requested by Ohio State Highway Patrol Post 80 to respond to U.S. 33 near mile post 18 in reference to a K-9 assist at 7:17 p.m. April 7.
An officer was dispatched to Route 161 in reference to a driving complaint at 5:27 p.m. April 7.
An officer conducted a routine registration check on a dark green Mazda sedan on U.S. 42 north at 4:24 p.m. April 7. The registration returned to a different model silver Mazda. The officer also learned that the owner and driver, Michael Kingery, was under multiple suspensions. Kingery was later issued a traffic citation for no valid operator’s license, OVI/ALS suspension, FRA suspension and plates belonging to another motor vehicle. His vehicle was towed to the PCPD impound lot.
An officer responded to Village Blvd. at 11:40 a.m. April 7 for an identity theft. The officer advised the complainant to keep an eye on her bank account and to fill out a report with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.
An officer received, via fax, a report of suspected child abuse/neglect from Nationwide Children’s Hospital at 10:20 a.m. April 7 regarding a report that was filed with the hospital. The report was forwarded to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the Madison County Department of Job and Family Services was contacted.
An officer was dispatched to the alley beside The Grainery on West Main Street at 3:41 a.m. April 7 in reference to a gray vehicle sitting on the alley with its hazard lights on. The officer determined everything to be fine.
An officer received a call from a complainant at 12:46 a.m. April 7 in reference to questions involving a juvenile.
An officer observed a suspicious 2009 white Ford van backed up to the front door of St. Joseph’s Rec Center on West Main Street at 1:53 a.m. April 6. The officer made contact with the subject, who was cleaning the listed location. The officer determined everything to be fine.
An officer responded to the area of Route 161 and Middleburg Plain City Road at 1:20 p.m. April 6 at the request of the Union County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a suspicious person complaint. The officer stood by until assistance was no longer necessary.
An officer responded to North Avenue at 7:37 p.m. April 6 in reference to a possible fight in progress. The officer advised a juvenile that he had to follow his mother’s commands and advised him of the consequences if his actions continued. The mother stated that the juvenile would be taken to another location by his uncle to calm down. The officer advised the mother of her options if the juvenile continued to be unruly.
Officers were dispatched to North Avenue in reference to a domestic dispute at 10:46 p.m. April 6. After speaking with all parties, everyone involved agreed to stay separated for the night. They were advised of the possible consequences of striking one another and agreed to use better judgment.
An officer responded to an open door at Buckeye Brass and Winds on North Chillicothe Street at 11:57 p.m. April 6.
An officer observed a gray Subaru at Marathon on West Main Street at 3:31 p.m. April 5 being operated by a male the officer knew to be Daniel Elick. Elick was issued a citation for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, OVI super concentration and a summons for open container.
An officer was dispatched to Shepper Avenue at 8:35 p.m. April 5 for an unruly juvenile. The father stated that he called PCPD because he wanted to notify the juvenile of the severity of the situation. The officer spoke with the juvenile and the juvenile indicated he understood that he crossed the line and apologized to his parents.
An officer responded to Perry Park at 9:31 p.m. April 5 at the request of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a message delivery. Upon arrival, the officer relayed the message to the subject.
Officers were requested by the Union County Adult Probation Office at 10:48 p.m. April 5 to assist with serving two warrants on North Avenue. Corey Baldwin and Sarah Fuson were placed under arrest by the UCAP officer.
