George David Lease, Jr., 29, of Marion was arrested on a warrant service arrest in the 700 block of S. Plum Street at 11:15 a.m. Friday.
Police responded to a report of suspicious conditions in the 500 block of N. Main Street at 5:33 p.m. Friday.
Police responded to a report of an individual violating a protection order or consent agreement in the 600 block of Coleman’s Crossing Blvd. at 7:06 p.m. Friday.
Police responded to a report of a dispute in the 1000 block of Coleman’s Crossing at 8:39 p.m. Friday. Reports indicate MPD was called to Crazy Burrito in response to the incident.
Police responded to the scene of an accident involving Michael James Petry, 49, of Plain City and Molly Elizabeth Olson, 18, of Hillview Road that occurred on U.S. 33 at 5:54 p.m. Friday. Reports indicate Petry was exiting from U.S. 33 eastbound onto N. Main Street and failed to yield while making a left turn onto the road, striking Olson’s vehicle. Petry did not experience any apparent injuries but was treated at the scene by the Marysville Division of Fire. Olson experienced possible injuries and was also treated at the scene of MFD. Petry was cited for failure to yield the right of way when turning.
Police responded to a report of suspicious conditions on U.S. 33 at Delaware Avenue at 3:32 a.m. Saturday. The reporting person stated that his passenger rear window “broke out” while driving.
Police responded to a report of recovered property on E. Eighth Street at S. Oak Street at 3:29 p.m. Saturday. Reports indicate a vehicle key was found in an unsecured vehicle.
Police responded to the scene of an accident involving Steven Michael Weir, 39, of Cleveland and Kimberly A. Neel, 55, of Richwood that occurred on E. Fifth Street at N. Cherry Street at 1:10 p.m. Saturday. Reports indicate Weir was traveling eastbound on E. Fifth Street at N. Cherry Street while Neel was following him. Weir moved forward when the light turned green to make a left turn to drive north on N. Cherry Street. Neel stated there was “an internal distraction” and she struck Weir’s vehicle from behind. Both drivers experienced suspected possible injuries. Neel was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
Thomas Dale, 63, of N. Maple Street was cited for menacing in the 700 block of Mill Wood Blvd. at 7:46 p.m. Sunday.
Shannon Marie Deardorff, 38, of West Jefferson was cited for no operator’s license on Columbus Avenue at 11:12 p.m. Sunday.
Police responded to a report of suspicious conditions in the 1200 block of W. Fifth Street at 4:41 a.m. Sunday. Reports indicate “an unknown pill was found in a beer bottle” by a Stephen’s Lounge employee.
Police responded to a report of a dispute in the 400 block of Harness Place at 5:38 p.m. Sunday. Reports indicate a family’s five-month-old puppy died unexpectedly.
Police responded to a report of disorderly conduct in the 300 block of W. Fifth Street at 9:33 p.m. Sunday.
According to Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:
A deputy and units from the Jerome Township Fire Department and the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the intersection of Route 161 and Eiterman Road for an injury crash involving a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze that drove off the road and struck a utility pole at 12:02 a.m. Friday. As a result of the investigation, Maria N. Morales, 23, of Delaware was charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence and failure to control. She was transported to the Dublin Methodist Hospital.
Deputies responded to the 15000 block of Paver Barnes Road to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2012 Jeep Wrangler that struck a 2018 Jeep Compass at 7:39 a.m. Friday. The driver of the Jeep Wrangler, Zachary W. McMinn, 18, of Marysville was issued a traffic citation for failure to yield from a private drive.
A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 16000 block of Route 739 to investigate the possible theft of food from a freezer at 9:03 a.m. Friday.
A deputy met with a resident from the 12000 block of Sanders Road to investigate a fraudulent charity scam at 11:11 a.m. Friday.
A deputy responded to a property damage crash on U.S. 42 near U.S. 33 involving a dump truck that struck high tension wires and then left the scene at 1:14 p.m. Friday.
A deputy responded to the 10000 block of Mitchell Dewitt Road to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle that lost control and drove off the road at 1:26 p.m. Friday. The driver, Randel Jennings, 63, of Marysville was issued a traffic citation for failure to control.
A deputy was dispatched to a business in the 8000 block of Business Way to investigate a fraudulent payroll scam at 3:05 p.m. Friday.
Deputies and units from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Northwestern Fire District and the Marysville Fire Department responded to Route 31 and Wheeler Green Road for an injury crash involving a 2016 Honda Accord at 3:21 p.m. Friday. The State Patrol investigated the crash.
A deputy was sent to a residence in the 11000 block of U.S. 36 to investigate a neighbor dispute at 4:01 p.m. Friday.
A deputy and units from Southeast Hardin Northwest Union Joint Fire District, Northern Union County Fire and EMS District, Northwestern Fire District, Scioto Valley Fire District, Ridgeway Fire Department and the Kenton Fire Department responded to a barn fire in the 19000 block of Yoakum Road at 5:44 p.m. Friday.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Rose Street in Magnetic Springs for a dispute between neighbors at 9:02 p.m. Friday.
Deputies and units from the Leesburg Township Fire Department responded to the intersection of Route 4 and Route 347 for an injury crash involving a 2019 Chevrolet Spark that struck a 2013 Chrysler 200 at 10:15 p.m. Friday. The driver of the Chevrolet, Fredrick L. Dewitt II, 45, of Delaware was issued a traffic citation for failure to yield at a stop sign. One victim was transported to Memorial Hospital.
A deputy met a Delaware Police Department officer to take custody of Cori Beth Price, 32, of Richwood for an outstanding arrest warrant at 3:48 a.m. Saturday. She was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy was sent to a property in the 34000 block of Route 37 to investigate a trespassing complaint at 5:55 a.m. Saturday.
Deputies were dispatched to a park on Railroad Street in Milford Center to investigate an act of vandalism at 10:40 a.m. Saturday.
A deputy met with an Ohio Department of Natural Resources officer to take custody of Ronald G. Mills, 39, of Prospect for an outstanding arrest warrant at 1:31 p.m. Saturday. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy was dispatched to a property in the 21000 block of Raymond Road to investigate a trespassing complaint involving off-road motorcycles at 5:20 p.m. Saturday.
A deputy was dispatched to a business in the 7000 block of Route 161 to investigate a panhandling complaint at 11:43 p.m. Sunday.
A deputy investigated a harassment complaint that occurred at a residence in the 19000 block of Main Street in Broadway involving an ex-boyfriend at 6:12 p.m. Sunday.
Union County deputies assisted the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office with a fight involving a gun at a residence on Audas Street in North Lewisburg at 7:38 p.m. Sunday.
