According to Marysville Police Department reports:
Ryan James Barrette, 28, of Watkins Glen Blvd. was cited for driving while under the influence in the 800 block of Watkins Glen Blvd.
Police responded to the scene of an accident involving Kari Ford, 35, of Sunbury and Catherine Roush, 44, of Waldo Road that occurred on Delaware Avenue at Coleman’s Crossing Blvd. at 4:40 p.m. Thursday. Reports indicate Ford did not “maintain distance from (Roush), causing an accident.” Neither driver experienced any apparent injuries. Ford was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
Police responded to the scene of an accident involving Jesus Levien-Hernandez, 22, of Columbus and Tracey Hogan, 49, of Village Drive that occurred on Delaware Avenue at 6:13 p.m. Thursday. Reports indicate Levien-Hernandez was unable to stop in time and struck Hogan’s vehicle from behind. Neither driver experienced any apparent injuries. No citations are listed on the accident report.
Police responded to the scene of an accident involving Brenden Lee Butz, 26, of Mount Victory and Luke Q. Brill, 32, of Richwood that occurred on Square Drive at 5:54 p.m. Thursday. Reports indicate Butz was backing out of a parking space at Culver’s and struck Brill’s vehicle while he was in the drive-thru line. Neither driver experienced any apparent injuries. No citations are listed on the accident report.
According to Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 19000 block of Route 739 for a person having a mental health crisis at 4:37 a.m. Thursday.
Deputies and units from the Jerome Township Fire Department responded to a business in the 14000 block of U.S. 42 for a box truck and dumpster on fire at 5:07 a.m. Thursday. The Jerome Township Division of Fire handled the investigation.
As a result of a traffic stop on Chestnut Street near East Sixth Street in Marysville, a deputy arrested Roberta J. Barton, 40, of Marysville for an outstanding arrest warrant out of the Marysville Police Department at 6:08 a.m. Thursday. She was turned over to the custody of an MPD officer.
Deputies and units from the Northern Union County Joint Fire and EMS District responded to Route 37 near Bethlehem Claibourne Road to investigate an injury crash involving a 2007 Honda Civic that failed to negotiate the curve, drove off the roadway into a cemetery and struck several headstones at 9:39 a.m. Thursday. The driver, Patricia M. Carter, 46, of Richwood was issued a traffic citation for failure to control.
A deputy and units from the Jerome Township Division of Fire and the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the intersection of Route 161 and Cosgray Road to investigate an injury crash involving a 2017 Kia Forte that was struck by a 2020 Kia Sportage at 3:07 p.m. Thursday. One person was transported to Dublin Methodist Hospital.
Deputies investigated a report of an employee making menacing statements at a business in the 26000 block of Route 37 at 3:50 p.m. Thursday.
A deputy was dispatched to a property in the 21000 block of Route 4 to investigate a trespassing complaint at 6:46 p.m. Thursday.
Deputies were sent to a residence in the 20000 block of Peoria Loop Road for a complaint of a juvenile with a pellet gun at 7:12 p.m. Thursday.
A deputy went to a residence in the 13000 block of Watkins California Road regarding a scam attempt involving an Amazon order at 7:58 p.m. Thursday.
Deputies investigated a report of domestic violence at a business on South Mill Street in Milford Center at 8:53 p.m. Thursday. As a result of the investigation, it was learned that the offense occurred at a residence in the Columbus. The parties were referred to the Columbus Police Department.
