According to Marysville Police Department reports:
Jacob Mellen, 22, of Leeper Perkins Road was arrested on a warrant service arrest in the 1200 block of E. Fifth Street at 10:03 a.m. Wednesday.
Police responded to a report of criminal trespassing in the 400 block of Coleman’s Crossing Blvd. at 9:28 a.m. Wednesday. The reporting person indicated an unknown person broke the safety seal on his grease vats.
Police responded to a report of suspicious conditions in the 100 block of E. Fifth Street at 3:14 p.m. Wednesday.
According to Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:
While on patrol on U.S. 42 north of U.S. 33, a deputy stopped to assist a disabled motorist at 12:39 a.m. Wednesday. After further investigation, the driver of the van, Robert J. Norman, 40, of Columbus was charged with possession of drug abuse instruments.
A deputy responded to Route 347 east of Raymond Road to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2009 Dodge Avenger that struck two deer at 4:35 a.m. Wednesday.
A deputy and units from the Allen Township Fire Department were dispatched to Route 245 near Poling Road for an unresponsive driver in a vehicle at 5:08 a.m. Wednesday. After further investigation, Ross M. Hickenbotton, 26, of Columbus was arrested for operating a vehicle while under the influence. He was transported to the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies assisted the Richwood Police Department with an unresponsive person at a residence on Elm Street in Richwood at 8:22 a.m. Wednesday.
A deputy met with a resident from the 19000 block of Danville Avenue to investigate threatening statements made by an ex-spouse at 11:57 a.m. Wednesday.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 17000 block of Whitestone Road to investigate a dispute between a mother and son at 2:26 p.m. Wednesday.
A Union County deputy met with a Franklin County deputy to take custody of Gabriel L. Odom, 49, of Columbus for an outstanding arrest warrant at 3:34 p.m. Wednesday. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy responded to Main Street in Unionville Center to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2010 Toyota Camry that struck a 2012 Kia Sedona at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The driver of the Toyota, Marissa R. Miller, 19, of Marysville was issued a traffic citation for failure to yield the right of way from a private drive.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 26000 block of Route 37 to investigate the theft of personal property at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday. During the investigation, deputies arrested Joshua M. Vermillion, 41, of Richwood for an outstanding arrest warrant from Logan County. He was turned over to Logan County deputy.
Deputies were sent to a residence in the 11000 block of U.S. 36 for a dispute between a separated husband and wife at 8:47 a.m. Wednesday. After further investigation, one person was transported to Maryhaven for threatening self-harm.
