Xena Marie Fetten, 21, of Windsor Court was cited for making false alarms in the 100 block of E. Sixth Street at 8:33 p.m. Tuesday.
Tyler Scott Gilming, 20, of Windsor Court was cited for making false alarms in the 100 block of E. Sixth Street at 8:35 p.m. Tuesday. Reports indicate Fetten and Gillming reported a hit-skip crash involving a pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle. Their report was later found to be false.
Police responded to a report of suspicious conditions in the 15000 block of U.S. 36 at 8:53 a.m. Tuesday. Reports indicate an employee of URE advised MPD of suspicious conditions in their lobby.
Police responded to a report of menacing in the 100 block of Elwood Avenue at 4:44 p.m. Tuesday. Reports indicate “suspicious statements” were made by a child.
Police conducted a wellbeing check on County Home Road at Route 4 at 7:17 p.m. Tuesday. Reports indicate the check was requested for a female who left the hospital.
According to Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:
While on patrol on U.S. 42, a deputy found a property damage crash just south of Smart Cole Road involving a 2016 Freightliner semi-truck that drove off the road and into a yard at 4:11 a.m. Monday. The driver, Donald E. Dupke Jr., 65, of Greenfield, Indiana was issued a traffic citation for failure to control.
Deputies responded to U.S. 33 near Route 161 to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2009 Toyota Sienna that struck a deer at 5:20 a.m. Monday.
A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 19000 block of Collins Road to investigate a cryptocurrency scam at 6:38 a.m. Monday.
Deputies responded to a garage on Millard Street in Magnetic Springs for a breaking and entering in progress at 6:49 a.m. Monday. As a result of the investigation, Brent T. Herriott, 30, of Magnetic Springs was arrested for criminal trespassing and breaking and entering. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy and units from the Jerome Township Fire Department were dispatched to a business in the 7000 block of Route 161 for a vehicle fire at 8:40 a.m. Monday.
A deputy met with a resident from the 16000 block of Fish Daum Road to investigate a dispute between three family members at 11:45 a.m. Monday.
A deputy was sent to a residence in the 9000 block of Redwood Circle to investigate threatening statements involving two juveniles at 11:49 a.m. Monday.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 11000 block of U.S. 36 to investigate a possible burglary at 3:28 p.m. Monday.
A deputy was sent to a residence in the 20000 block of Liberty West Road to investigate a trespassing complaint at 3:53 p.m. Monday.
A deputy responded to the intersection of U.S. 42 and Industrial Parkway to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado that struck the back of a 2019 Jeep Compass at 5:22 p.m. Monday. The driver of the Chevrolet, Manuel R. Vanegas, 47, of Columbus was issued a traffic citation for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
A deputy and units from the Allen Township Fire Department were sent to a business in the 24000 block of Honda Parkway for a person threatening self-harm at 5:23 p.m. Monday. The person was transported to Memorial Hospital.
Deputies were dispatched to a property in the 27000 block of McMahan Road to investigate damage to a farm field at 8:38 p.m. Monday.
A deputy responded to the 18000 block of Raymond Road to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2009 Ford Ranger that struck a deer at 10:18 p.m. Monday.
Deputies and units from the Jerome Township Fire Department and the Dublin Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 9000 block of Jerome Road for a domestic fight between a husband and wife at 10:15 p.m. Monday. The husband fled the residence on foot. A search was conducted with the assistance of the Sheriff’s Office canine and a helicopter from the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The husband was not located.
