According to Plain City Police Department reports:
Officers responded to Fairfield Drive at 10:46 p.m. May 17 in reference to a juvenile complaint. The caller stated that he was concerned for the juvenile’s safety due to the time of night. Upon checking the area, the officer located the juvenile and transported the child to the police department. The juvenile was warned for violating curfew and advised of the possible consequences if her actions continued. The officer released the juvenile to her mother’s custody a short time later.
An officer responded to West Avenue and Carriage Drive at 6:30 p.m. May 17 in reference to a sick fox. Upon arrival, the officer searched the area but was unable to locate the animal.
Officers responded to Kile-Warner Road at 2:40 p.m. May 17 to assist the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
A complainant called the police department at 11:52 a.m. May 17 because someone was illegally dumping in his work dumpster on Warrenton Drive. The complainant requested the officer make contact with all parties and advise them not to illegally dump trash in his dumpster. The officer warned those involved.
An officer responded to an alarm drop on North Chillicothe Street at 1:46 a.m. May 17.
An officer responded to Village Blvd. at 12:39 a.m. May 17 in reference to a suspicious vehicle. After speaking with both parties, the officer determined nothing was out of the ordinary.
An officer was on patrol on U.S. 42 at 3:52 p.m. May 16 and observed a green 1998 Jeep Cherokee matching a vehicle description provided by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office connected to a possible domestic dispute. The officer determined everything to be O.K.
An officer was dispatched to McKitrick Park at 3:33 p.m. May 16 in reference to juveniles joyriding in a canoe. The officer advised the parents of both juveniles’ activities and they requested the officer send juveniles home. The officer advised both juveniles to go home and warned them not to borrow things without the owner’s permission.
An officer was dispatched to Ratcliff Lane at 9:22 a.m. May 16 to speak with a complainant who had questions about an unwanted guest. The officer advised the complainant that if the subject was on her property and was told to leave and did not, to contact the police department to remove the subject.
An officer was requested by the Ohio State Highway Patrol at 3 a.m. May 16 to assist with a BAC test at the Plain City Municipal Building.
An officer responded to an open door at Plain City Elementary School on S. Chillicothe Street at 2:37 a.m. May 16.
An officer arrested Kenneth Roger Williams on a warrant service arrest on North Avenue at 8:15 p.m. May 16. Williams was charged with possession of marijuana and transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail for a warrant from Champaign County Municipal Court for failure to appear.
An officer responded to an alarm drop on Willowbend Circle at 8:48 a.m. May 15.
An officer assisted Union County Sheriff’s Office deputies with a BAC test on an arrestee at the Plain City Municipal Building at 8:58 p.m. May 15.
An officer responded to West South Street at 8:18 p.m. May 15 in reference to a possible theft.
An officer responded to Converse-Chapel Road at the request of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office at 2:35 p.m. May 15 in reference to an alarm drop.
An officer was dispatched to Willowbend Circle at 1:38 p.m. May 15 in reference to a possible scam. The complainant advised she sent an email to all parties advising them of the attempted fraud. The officer ran a check on the phone number and it had several fraud alerts listed.
An officer was dispatched to Jim’s Diner on West Main Street at 12:05 p.m. May 15 for a disturbance. The officer spoke with all parties who stated they got into an argument about politics and tempers flared. All parties were separated.
An officer was dispatched to Buckeye Forklift and Equipment on South Jefferson Avenue at 11:59 a.m. May 15 in reference to a possible trespassing complaint.
An officer was on patrol on West Main Street at 10:36 a.m. May 15 and observed an Ohio license plate laying on the roadway. The officer contacted the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and requested they have a deputy go to the subject’s residence and attempt contact.
An officer was stationary at the Plain City Georgesville Road and Cemetery Pike intersection, conducting traffic control for a funeral procession at 9:57 a.m. May 15. While on the scene, the officer witnessed a vehicle crash on Cemetery Pike and stood by on scene until the arrival of the Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper.
An officer responded to an open door at She Stages Columbus on North Chillicothe Street at 4:51 a.m. May 15.
An officer responded to an open door at Daily Needs Assistance on West Main Street at 3:07 a.m. May 15.
An officer responded to an open door at Ferguson Funeral Home on East Main Street at 2:07 a.m. May 15.
A complainant came into the police department at 10:25 a.m. May 15 because she wanted to turn in a found debit card. The debit card was from Richwood Bank. The officer went to Richwood Bank where a teller told the officer that the card owner just came in to cancel the card. The teller took the card and shredded it.
An officer responded to an open door at Vineyard Church on West Main Street at 2:58 a.m. May 14.
Officers responded to North Avenue at 8:58 p.m. May 14 in reference to juvenile complaint. The subject watching the juvenile was advised to keep an eye on the child and not to let the child out of the apartment.
An officer was requested by the Union County Sheriff’s Office at 7:36 p.m. May 14 and asked to respond to Route 736 for a missing juvenile.
An officer was dispatched to South Chillicothe Street near Plain City Elementary School at 5:29 p.m. May 14 in reference to a road rage incident. The complainant advised that she was concerned that the driver would get her address from her license plate, but the officer assured her that couldn’t happen. The complainant also stated that the officer did not need to conduct an investigation because the driver was no longer following her. The officer advised her that he would document the incident.
An officer conducted a routine registration check on a white Chevrolet van on U.S. 42 at 4:02 p.m. May 14. The vehicle registration returned to Justin Foust, a suspended driver. Foust was later issued a traffic citation for no valid operator’s license and ALS/OVI suspension. The vehicle was towed to the PCPD Impound Lot. Foust stood by on scene and advised he was going to be picked up by a valid driver.
An officer responded to Route 161 at the request of the Union County Sheriff’s Office at 11:25 a.m. May 14 in reference to a motor vehicle that crashed into a barn.
An officer was dispatched to a non-injury crash on West Main Street and South Jefferson Avenue at 7:52 a.m. May 14. Upon arrival, the officer met with Gabrielle Sroka. She was later issued a citation for starting and backing and advised of her court date.
An officer responded to an open door at the Plain City Food Pantry on West Main Street at 4:43 a.m. May 14.
An officer responded to an open door at She Stages Columbus on North Chillicothe Street at 4:36 a.m. May 14.
An officer was on patrol on Lafayette-Plain City Road at 11:43 p.m. May 13 and noticed a white Ford F-150 parked in the area. The officer determined everything was O.K.
An officer was dispatched to the field west of Weathervane Way at 8:11 p.m. May 13 in reference to a suspicious circumstance.
An officer responded to Gay Street at 8:02 p.m. May 13 in reference to a dog bite. The victim’s parent advised that he did not want any charges pressed in reference to the bite. An animal bite form was completed and sent to the Madison County Health Department. The dog owner was advised to quarantine the dog and given a copy of the paperwork.
An officer was dispatched to Maple Street at 9:04 a.m. May 13 in reference to a juvenile who did not want to go to school that day. The officer advised the juvenile of the consequences if his actions continued and the juvenile agreed to listen and go to school. The officer then stood by until the juvenile got into the car to go to school.
The Police Chief advised an officer that he had observed Kenneth Mounts, who had a confirmed felony warrant from the Union County Common Pleas Court, walking on West Main Street westbound at 7:18 a.m. May 13. Mounts was taken into custody without incident. A Union County Sheriff’s Office deputy arrived on scene and took custody of Mounts.

Officers were dispatched to Converse Avenue at 1:47 a.m. in reference to a possible mental health crisis. The subject declined a medic and stated he was going to sleep.
An officer was dispatched to Alderwood Circle at 1:21 p.m. May 11 in reference to a theft complaint. After speaking with the complainant, the officer advised that the matter was civil issue.
An officer was on patrol on U.S. 42 near West Avenue at 5:56 p.m. May 11 and conducted a routine registration check on a 2010 red Dodge Charger and learned the registered owner, Joys Vincent Torres Colon was a suspended driver. Colon was issued a traffic citation for no valid operator’s license and non-compliance suspension. He was given a warning for two brake lights required. His vehicle was impounded and towed to the PCPD Impound Lot. His license plates were seized, per BMV request.
