According to Plain City Police Department reports:
The Hilliard Police Department advised PCPD that Matthew Mullens was located on West Main Street at 8:30 p.m. May 24. Mullens had a probation violation. Upon arriving at the listed location, Mullens answered the door. He was advised to come outside and he was placed into custody. An officer then relayed with HPD at Canaan Elementary School, where a Hilliard officer took custody of Mullens.
An officer was flagged down for a driving complaint on Alderwood Circle at 7:45 p.m. May 24. The officer spoke with the driver and advised him to slow down.
An officer responded to an open door at NAPA on Village Blvd. at 12:01 a.m. May 24.
An officer responded to Rausch Drive at 10:53 a.m. May 24 at the request of the Union County Sheriff’s Office in reference to an alarm drop.
Officers responded to Church Street at 10:38 p.m. May 24 in reference to a loud noise complaint. Upon arrival, the music was already turned off. Officers made contact with the resident, who advised he had turned the music off about half an hour earlier and the music would remain off for the night. The resident was warned for the loud music.
A complainant came into the Plain City Police Department to file a report for telecommunication harassment at 6:46 p.m. May 23. The subject requested the house be added to the watch list.
An officer observed a gray Subaru Outback parked in front of Nighthawk Drive at 3:37 p.m. May 23. The suspect moved his vehicle to the west side of the street.
An officer was dispatched to Smucker Lane at 10:41 a.m. May 23 in reference to a well-being check.
An officer was dispatched to Mike’s Pit Stop on West Main Street at 10:22 a.m. May 23 for a drive-off. An officer circulated the area but did not locate a vehicle matching that description. The officer advised the business owner that he would come by during his next shift to follow-up.
An officer observed a red Chevrolet Silverado parked in front of ASE Feeds on South Jefferson Avenue at 8:16 a.m. May 23. The officer determined everything to be fine.
An officer responded to an open door at Daily Needs Assistance on West Main Street at 1:46 a.m. May 23.
An officer responded to West Main Street for a 911 follow-up at 7:25 p.m. May 22.
An officer responded to Harrington Drive for a 911 follow-up at 8:47 p.m. May 22.
An officer was dispatched to Lantern Lane and Carriage Drive at 6:19 p.m. May 22 in reference to a 911 follow-up.
An officer observed a black Acura SUV parked in a no parking zone at 5:36 p.m. May 22. The vehicle was moved to the north side of the street.
An officer was dispatched to Smith-Calhoun Road at 5:10 p.m. May 22 in reference to an unconscious female.
An officer responded to an open door at the Plain City Auction House on East Main Street at 4:14 a.m. May 22.
An officer observed a red Nissan Versa at Route 42 Bargains on South Jefferson Avenue at 12:29 a.m. May 22. The officer determined everything to be fine.
An officer responded to Church Street at 9:20 p.m. May 22 in reference to a noise complaint. The officer made contact with the resident at the listed location. The music was not extremely loud but could be heard from over 50 feet away. The officer asked the resident to turn the music down and provided the resident with a copy of the village’s noise ordinance.
An officer observed a black Ford parked in front of Top Stitch Upholstery on West Main Street at 2:32 a.m. May 21. The officer deemed nothing out of the ordinary was happening.
Officers responded to Pressworks on West Bigelow Avenue at 11:13 p.m. May 21 in reference to a drunk individual. The suspect was warned for disorderly conduct. A friend willingly agreed to take the suspect to her residence.
An officer was dispatched to Pastime Park on North Chillicothe Street in reference to a 911 follow-up at 7:07 p.m. May 21.
An officer was dispatched to the intersection of U.S. 42 and Route 736 in reference to a possible non-injury accident at 4:34 p.m. May 21. Upon arrival, it was learned that there were no injuries and the crash occurred in Union County.
An officer was dispatched to Union Enterprises at 1:04 pm. May 21 in reference to damage to the front door. An officer determined everything to be fine.
An officer responded to an alarm drop on Shepper Avenue at 9:56 a.m. May 21.
An officer met with a complainant at his residence on Carriage Drive at 8:09 p.m. May 20 in reference to a theft complaint. The complainant advised the officer that sometime between 4 p.m. May 19 and 6:30 a.m. May 20, an unknown subject entered and unlocked his vehicle. The subject took various items from the car. The complainant requested a report for documentation.
An officer was dispatched to Mears Group on Heritage Drive at 6:28 p.m. May 20 to assist a Union County Sheriff’s Office deputy with an alarm drop.
An officer observed a motorcycle parked on the sidewalk in front of the North Avenue Apartments on North Avenue at 6:16 p.m. May 20. The officer made contact with the owner and advised him that his motorcycle was not permitted to be parked on the sidewalk. The owner stated that he would move it.
An officer was at the police department at 9:52 a.m. May 20 when he received a call from a complainant regarding a theft from his vehicle. The subject took various items from the vehicle. The complainant requested a report for documentation.
An officer was on patrol and observed a juvenile walking on South Chillicothe Street at 2:09 a.m. May 20. The juvenile stated that when she feels she is having a mental health episode, she feels it is best not to be inside her house. While speaking with the juvenile, the officer had to leave due to an emergency call. He advised the juvenile to head straight home and he would follow up with her later. At 8:14 a.m., the officer made contact with the juvenile’s mother and advised her of the incident. The mother advised that the juvenile had come home immediately and was currently sleeping.
An officer received a fax from the Madison County Department of Job and Family Services regarding possible exploitation of an elderly resident on Jericho Way at 3:10 p.m. May 19. The officer contacted MCDOJFS and advised them to forward the complaint to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office due to the location of the victim. The officer also contacted the victim’s daughter, who was listed as the reporting party in the report, to advise her of this.
A caller advised the police department that he found a debit card on Lantern Lane at 9:43 a.m. May 19. The officer returned the card to the cardholder, who confirmed she lost a debit card.
An officer was dispatched to Cooper Lane at 9:05 p.m. May 18 in reference to a solicitor complaint. The subject was given a warning for soliciting and advised of the process to receive a solicitor permit.
An officer was dispatched to Mike’s Pit Stop on West Main Street at 7:35 p.m. May 18 in reference to a phone theft. The complainant advised her daughter’s iPhone 6 was placed on the counter when an unknown white female customer mistakenly took the phone off the counter. The officer made contact with the suspect, who confirmed she had mistakenly taken the phone. The officer took possession of the phone and returned it to the complainant.
An officer was dispatched to Alderwood Circle at 3:03 p.m. May 18 in reference to a parking complaint. The officer made contact with the vehicle owner who moved the truck without issue.
A complainant called the police at 11:59 a.m. May 18 because the front door to a home on Lantern lane was wide open and no one was home. The complainant then stated that two dogs belonging to the subject at the listed location had escaped. The officers apprehended the dogs and returned the dogs to the listed location. The residence appeared to be normal and nothing looked disturbed. A voicemail was left for the homeowner.
An officer was flagged down by a subject at the Plain City Municipal Building at 12:16 a.m. May 18 who advised she was almost out of gas. The subject advised she went to every gas station in town, but all the pumps were turned off. The officer provided the subject with gas. Once the subject had enough gas to get back to Marysville, the officer returned to patrol.
