Police responded to a report of theft from a motor vehicle in the 1000 block of Watkins Glen Court at 8:47 a.m. Friday. Reports indicate items were taken from an unlocked vehicle.
Police responded to a report of a dispute in the 200 block of Caddie Drive at 1:08 p.m. Friday. The reporting person advised her husband is repeatedly asking her to drop charges against him.
Police responded to a report of endangering children in the 900 block of Kenmore Crossing Blvd. at 11:16 a.m. Friday.
Police responded to a report of theft in the 400 block of Chestnut Street at 6:11 p.m. Friday. Reports indicate a male’s prescription drugs were stolen from his room.
Police responded to a report of a suicide threat in the 500 block of London Avenue at 6:24 p.m. Friday.
Police responded to a report of a property damage crash in the 700 block of Weaver Ridge Drive at 6:54 p.m. Friday. Reports indicate a male’s mailbox was hit by an “unknown object” and broken.
Police responded to a report of suspicious conditions in the 500 block of Coleman’s Crossing Blvd. at 7:44 p.m. Friday. Reports indicate a male was drinking in his car while in the parking lot of Walmart.
Police responded to a report of theft of a motor vehicle in the 100 block of Butternut Drive at 11:34 p.m. Friday. The reporting person advised his car was stolen.
Police responded to the scene of an accident involving a hit-skip driver, Jack Temple Blumberg, 18, of Carmel Drive and Thomas D. Carpenter, 44, of Mill Road that occurred on N. Maple Street at Amrine Mill Road at 12:59 p.m. Friday. Reports indicate all vehicles were traveling northbound on N. Maple Street, north of Amrine Mill Road. A “recklessly driven white Chevy truck” passed several vehicles and cut in front of Carpenter’s vehicle. This caused Carpenter “to come to a screeching stop” to avoid striking the Chevy truck. Blumberg was struck in the rear by an unknown driver, causing it to be pushed forward and strike Carpenter. The unknown driver failed to stop at the scene. It is unknown if the unknown driver is also the driver of the “reckless Chevy truck.” Carpenter experienced possible injuries. No citations are listed in the report.
Police responded to a report of theft of a motor vehicle in the 100 block of Bridgewater Drive at 2:50 p.m. Saturday.
Police conducted a death investigation in the 500 block of Quail Hollow Drive at 1:58 p.m. Saturday. Reports indicate the subject was found deceased by her husband.
Police responded to a report of driving under suspension in the 100 block of N. Main Street at 10:43 p.m. Saturday.
Police responded to a report of a curfew violation in the 400 block of E. Ninth Street at 2:34 a.m. Sunday. While on patrol, an MPD unit reportedly saw a group of juveniles at Eljer Park. The MPD unit approached the juveniles and three of them “took off running” while two stayed. All juveniles were found and returned home safely. Curfew charges are pending.
Police responded to a report of suspicious conditions in the 1000 block of Lydia Drive at 10:23 a.m. Sunday. A group of suspicious males were reportedly walking around a parking lot and trying to enter vehicles.
Police responded to a report of theft in the 900 block of Coleman’s Crossing Blvd. at 4:35 p.m. Sunday. Reports indicate a female entered Meijer on two separate occasions and walked out with items that were not paid for.
According to Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 7000 block of Meadowgold Drive for a person threatening self-harm at 11:17 a.m. Friday.
A deputy went to the Adult Probation Office on Route 4 to take custody of Shannon D. Detillion, 40, of Marion for a bond violation at 11:56 a.m. Friday. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
Deputies and units from the Jerome Township Fire Department responded to the intersection of Estates Parkway and Industrial Parkway for a property damage crash involving a 2018 Peterbilt semi-truck that struck low-hanging utility lines at 2:28 p.m. Friday.
Deputies and units from the Southeast Hardin Northwest Union Joint Fire District responded to the 31000 block of Route 31 for an injury crash involving a 2013 Kia Rio that struck a 2005 Great Dane trailer that was being pulled by a 2018 International semi-truck at 5:07 p.m. Friday. A 2020 Buick Enclave took evasive action to avoid striking the Kia that continued northbound in the southbound lane and was struck from behind by a 2012 Ford F-150. The Ford then continued off the west side of the road where it struck the Kia that had come to rest in the ditch. One victim was transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital and one victim was transported to Memorial Hospital. The driver of the Kia, Holly R. Gillenwater, 48, of Patriot was issued a traffic citation for failure to drive in marked lanes.
Deputies assisted Marysville Police Department officers with a person experiencing a mental health crisis in the parking lot of Memorial Hospital at 7:06 p.m. Friday.
As a result of an investigation by a deputy and agents from the Ohio Investigative Unit at a business in the 10000 block of U.S. 42, an employee of the business, Taylor M. Bloise, 26, of Ostrander, was charged with selling alcohol to an underage person.
Deputies and units from the Union Township Fire Department and Marysville Fire Department responded to the 13000 block of Maple Ridge Road for an injury crash involving a 2009 Ford Econoline E-350 that drove off the road and struck a utility pole at 2:43 a.m. Saturday.
A deputy was dispatched to a business in the 8000 block of Corporate Boulevard to investigate the theft of multiple tools from a box trailer at 8:13 a.m. Saturday.
While investigating a theft in the 8000 block of Corporate Boulevard, a deputy located trailers at a business that appeared to be damaged in an attempted break-in at 9:14 a.m. Saturday.
A deputy was sent to a residence in the 28000 block of Kinney Pike to investigate a fraudulent internet transaction involving the purchase of a tractor at 9:59 a.m. Saturday.
Deputies and units from the Jerome Township Fire Department responded to U.S. 33 east of U.S. 42 for a vehicle fire involving a 2012 Ford Focus at 10:51 a.m. Saturday.
A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 15000 block of Meadowbrook Drive to investigate a harassment complaint involving an ex-boyfriend at 12:41 p.m. Saturday.
Deputies were sent to the 13000 block of Route 38 to investigate a domestic dispute between a husband and wife that occurred in a vehicle at 1:46 p.m. Saturday.
Deputies and units from the Marysville Fire Department responded to the intersection of Payne Road and Collins Road for a property damage crash involving a 2016 Honda HR-V that struck the back of 2017 Honda Pilot at 7:51 p.m. Saturday. The driver of the HR-V, Bryson B. Berry, 22, of Marysville was issued a traffic citation for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 13000 block of U.S. 36 for an unruly juvenile at 9:39 p.m. Saturday.
As a result of a traffic stop in the 10000 block of U.S. 42, a deputy arrested Santillan Arturo, 47, of Yorba Linda, California for operating a vehicle while under the influence at 11:49 p.m. Saturday. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
Deputies and units from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Marysville Police Department, Marysville Fire Department and the Jerome Township Fire Department responded to an injury crash on U.S. 33, west of Scottslawn Road involving two vehicles at 12:11 a.m. Sunday. MedFlight was called to the scene. The State Patrol investigated the crash.
A Union County deputy and his canine partner assisted Dublin Police Department officers and Franklin County Sheriff’s Office deputies in searching for a person that fled on foot into a construction site in the 6000 block of University Boulevard at 8:59 a.m. Sunday. The person was apprehended and turned over to the custody of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 24000 block of Patrick Brush Run Road for a person threatening self-harm at 2:21 p.m. Sunday. The person was transported to Memorial Hospital.
Deputies were sent to a residence on Greenfield Drive in Milford Center for an unruly juvenile at 5:43 p.m. Sunday. The juvenile was arrested and transported to Central Ohio Youth Center.
