Police conducted a death investigation in the 100 block of First Street at 10:58 a.m. Friday. The reporting person contacted MPD because his wife died.
Police responded to a report of suspicious conditions in the 100 block of Woodcrest Drive at 12:57 p.m. Friday. Reports indicate an elderly female was found wandering around Hillcrest Mobile Home Park.
Police responded to a report of a theft in the 400 block of E. Ninth Street at 6:05 p.m. Friday.
Police responded to a report of drug abuse in the 400 block of E. Ninth Street at 10:26 p.m. Friday. Reports indicate the use of marijuana was reported at Eljer Park.
Police responded to the scene of an accident involving a juvenile and Lorraine Potter, 44, of Hinton Mill Road that occurred on Amrine Mill Road at N. Maple Street at 6:59 p.m. Friday. Reports indicate Potter was stopped at a crosswalk and the juvenile driver struck the rear of her vehicle. No injuries were reported. The juvenile was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
Police responded to the scene of an accident involving Adam D. Vogan, 52, of North Lewisburg that occurred on W. Fifth Street at 2:09 p.m. Friday. Reports indicate Vogan was pulling into a marked parking spot and his brakes did not work, causing him to go over the parking curb and strike a building. Reports indicate he did not experience any apparent injuries. No citations are listed on the accident report.
Police responded to the scene of an accident involving Jeffrey A. Carter, 31, of Pickerington and Nathan Padget, 47, of Delaware that occurred on Delaware Avenue at Coleman’s Crossing Blvd. at 7:04 p.m. Friday. Reports indicate Carter and Padget were stopped at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and Coleman’s Crossing Blvd. Padget started forward and then had to stop again. Carter was following Padget closely and rear ended his vehicle. Reports indicate neither driver experienced any apparent injuries. Carter was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
Gene E. Brown, 45, of Redwood Drive was cited for driving under a financial responsibility law suspension in the 1000 block of Delaware Avenue at 5:38 a.m. Saturday.
Kevin Thompson Jr., 35, of Route 4 was arrested for driving while under the influence in the 500 block of N. Main Street at 8:10 p.m. Saturday. Reports indicate he was taken into police custody.
Police responded to a report of recovered property in the 1000 block of Charles Lane at 9:28 a.m. Saturday.
Police responded to a report of criminal mischief in the 1900 block of Pony Place at 8:15 p.m. Saturday. Reports indicate an individual’s property was damaged.
Police responded to a report of a missing person in the 100 block of Sorensen Drive at 11:17 p.m. Saturday.
Police responded to the scene of an accident involving Jamie Ray Tackett, 51, of West Jefferson and Gregory A. Johnson, 58, of N. Main Street that occurred on W. Fifth Street at S. Maple Street at 2:09 p.m. Saturday. Reports indicate Tackett was facing west on W. Fifth Street and was stopped in the left turn lane for S. Maple Street. Johnson backed up from a private parking lot onto W. Fifth Street and struck Tackett’s vehicle. Reports indicate neither driver experienced any apparent injuries. Johnson was cited for starting and backing.
Police responded to the scene of an accident involving Darius Matulionis, 53, of Adena Pointe Drive that occurred on Weaver Road at Adena Pointe Drive at 8:38 p.m. Saturday. Reports indicate Matulionis struck a deer that ran in front of his vehicle. He did not experience any apparent injuries.
Police responded to a mental health incident in the 1200 block of W. Fifth Street at 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
Police responded to a report of a theft in the 1000 block of Sherwood Avenue at 2:33 p.m. Sunday. The reporting person indicated money was stolen from her residence.
Police responded to a report of forgery in the 500 block of E. Fifth Street at 3:26 p.m. Sunday. The victim reported that someone cloned a gift card she purchased locally and used it in a Chicago neighborhood. Reports indicate the American Express gift card was valued at $450.
Police responded to a report of criminal damaging/endangering in the 1900 block of Creekview Drive at 5:35 p.m. Sunday. The reporting person advised someone defaced his political sign.
Police responded the scene of an accident involving Dylan Jarred Wood, 20, of Connolly Street that occurred on S. Maple Street at Stocksdale Drive at 10:18 p.m. Sunday. Reports indicate Wood was traveling northbound on S. Maple Street and struck a curb on the right side of the roadway. Reports indicate he did not experience any apparent injuries. He was cited for failure to control.

A deputy and units from the Liberty Township Fire Department were dispatched to the intersection of Route 739 and Hoover Bault Road for an elderly person experiencing a mental health crisis at 7:43 a.m. Friday. The person was released to family members.
A deputy met with a Sunbury Police Officer to take custody of Morgan D. Rutter, 24, of Sunbury for an outstanding arrest warrant at 9:48 a.m. Friday. She was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy was sent to the Adult Probation Office in the 18000 block of Route 4 to take custody of Vernon E. Swinning, 41, of Raymond for a probation violation at 10:05 a.m. Friday. He was taken to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy was dispatched to a home in the 22000 block of Treaty Line Road to investigate fraud involving a social media website at 12:31 p.m. Friday.
A deputy was sent to a residence in the 30000 block of McPeck Road to investigate the theft of funds by a contractor at 4:23 p.m. Friday.
Deputies and units from the Jerome Township Fire Department responded to a residence in the 9000 block of Santa Clara Circle for a domestic dispute between a husband and wife at 4:25 p.m. Friday. After further investigation, Robert S. Calvert, 31, of Plain City was arrested for domestic violence and transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy took custody of Justin M. Wilcox, 31, of Plain City when he turned himself in at the Sheriff’s Office for an outstanding arrest warrant at 4:41 p.m. Friday. He was released after posting a bond.
Deputies assisted Marysville Police Officers searching for suspects involved in a robbery in the 400 block of E. Ninth Street at 6:07 p.m. Friday.
A deputy was sent to a residence in the 20000 block of Peoria Loop Road to investigate the possible theft of keys at 7:25 p.m. Friday.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 10000 block of Hinton Mill Road for an unruly juvenile at 1:34 a.m. Saturday.
Deputies were sent to a residence in the 1000 block of Milford Avenue to investigate a domestic dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend at 1:53 a.m. Saturday. The parties were separated.
A deputy went to the Franklin County Jail to take custody of Derl H. Honacher, 48, of Columbus for an outstanding arrest warrant at 2:32 a.m. Saturday. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy was dispatched to a home in the 8000 block of Frazier Drive for a person experiencing a mental health crisis at 5:46 a.m. Saturday.
A deputy met with a Whitehall Police Officer to take custody of Juanita M. Hanson, 37, of Marysville for an outstanding arrest warrant at 6:53 a.m. Saturday. She was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
Deputies and units from the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Union Township Fire Department responded to the 10000 block of Route 38 for an injury crash involving a 2019 Kia Sorento that drove off the road and into a ditch at 7:06 a.m. Saturday. The State Patrol investigated the crash.
A Union County deputy met with a Delaware County deputy to take custody of Anthony J. Wooten, 41, of Columbus for an outstanding arrest warrant at 7:23 a.m. Saturday. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy was sent to a residence in the 20000 block of Wheeler Green Road to investigate spray painting on political signs at 9:16 a.m. Saturday.
A deputy was dispatched to a school parking lot in the 11000 block of Route 38 to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2012 Jeep Wrangler that struck a 2012 Honda Accord at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
As a result of a traffic stop on Route 4 near County Home Road, a deputy charged Jason B. Hoover, 41, of Columbus with possession of drug abuse instruments at 2:33 p.m. Saturday.
A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 17000 block of Clark Dawson Road to investigate a possible protection order violation at 6:04 p.m. Saturday.
A deputy assisted a Richwood Police Officer with a domestic dispute at a residence on George Street at 7:46 p.m. Saturday.
Deputies and units from the Marysville Fire Department responded to the intersection of Scottslawn Road and Route 736 for an injury crash involving a 2019 BMW 330 that was struck from behind by an unknown vehicle that fled the scene at 8:59 p.m. Saturday.
Deputies and units from the Union Township Fire Department and the Pleasant Valley Fire District responded to the 8900 block of Route 38 for an injury crash involving a 2015 Toyota Tacoma that drove off the right side of the road, struck a driveway culvert and rolled over at 12:27 a.m. Sunday. One victim was transported to Memorial Hospital. The driver, Ryan M. Howland, 31, of Marysville was issued a traffic citation for failure to control.
As a result of a traffic stop on U.S. 33 near Delaware Avenue, a deputy arrested Kandale L. Harrison, 44, of Columbus for operating a vehicle while under the influence and driving under suspension at 1:34 a.m. Sunday. He was transported to the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies and units from the Union Township Fire Department and Pleasant Valley Fire District responded to the 7000 block of Route 38 to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2010 Audi A4 that drove off the road and struck several traffic signs at 2:16 a.m. Sunday. Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 14000 block of Woodhill Drive for a person experiencing a mental health crisis at 5:52 a.m. Sunday.
Deputies and units from the Liberty Township Fire Department responded to the intersection of Route 31 and Martin Welch Road for an injury crash involving a Honda Civic that was struck from behind by a 2014 BMW 328i at 12:08 p.m. Sunday.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Rose Street in Magnetic Springs to investigate a domestic dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend at 5:18 p.m. Sunday.
Deputies investigated a domestic dispute that occurred between a boyfriend and girlfriend at a residence in the 21000 block of Raymond Road at 7:16 p.m. Sunday. As a result of the investigation, Adam J. Warner, 33, of Bellefontaine was arrested for domestic violence. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy was dispatched to a property in the 13000 block of Adams Road to investigate a damaged mailbox at 11:34 p.m. Sunday.

Troopers responded to the scene of a two-vehicle non-injury crash on U.S. 33 near U.S. 42 at 8 a.m. Sunday. Reports indicate Damon Mulford, whose age was unlisted, of Columbus was driving a 2008 Kia and struck an unknown driver while passing. No citations are listed.
