According to Marysville Police Department reports:
Jessica Lynn Clark, 18, of W. Third Street was cited for aggravated menacing in the 500 block of W. Third Street at 12:50 p.m. Thursday.
Police responded to a report of domestic violence in the 1600 block of Saffron Drive at 7:45 p.m. Thursday. Reports indicate a male came into the police department Thursday to report a domestic violence incident that occurred on Feb. 9, 2019.
Jeffrey Groat Jr., 35, of Milford Avenue was cited for criminal damaging Sept. 13. Reports indicate Groat Jr. was observed near the right rear tire of a white Chrysler 300 while it was parked at the Boston’s restaurant in the 1000 block of Lydia Drive. A witness saw a slash cut into the driver side, rear tire and heard a loud rush of air escape the tire. The witness described Groat Jr.’s appearance, who was later charged with the crime.
According to Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:
Deputies and officers from the Plain City Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 11000 block of Converse Road for a domestic dispute between a husband and wife at 12:21 a.m. Thursday. After further investigation, Jennifer L. Park, 38, of Plain City was arrested for domestic violence. She was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy went to the Franklin County Jail to take custody of BK Baxter Hollyfield, 43, of Columbus for an outstanding arrest warrant at 1:50 a.m. Thursday. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy investigated a possible protection order violation that occurred at a residence in the 17000 block of Clark Dawson Road at 7:57 a.m. Thursday.
A deputy responded to a business in the 1000 block of U.S. 42 to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado that struck a 2013 Isuzu box truck at 9:11 a.m. Thursday. The driver of the Chevrolet, Shawn A. McCoy, 25, of Columbus was issued a traffic citation for driving under suspension.
A deputy investigated a telecommunications harassment complaint involving unwanted telephone calls that occurred at a residence in the 8000 block of Avalon Lane at 10:48 a.m. Thursday.
A deputy responded to the Middleburg Plain City Road near Bishop Road to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2020 Kia Optima that struck a road closed sign at 12:28 p.m. Thursday.
Deputies and units from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Union Township Fire Department, Marysville Fire Department and Mechanicsburg Fire Department responded to the intersection of Route 161 and Route 4 for an injury crash involving a 2007 International box truck that drove off the road and overturned at 1:21 p.m. Thursday. The State Patrol investigated the crash.
A deputy met with a Bellefontaine Police Officer to take custody of Daniel G. Miller, 32, of Bellefontaine for an outstanding arrest warrant at 3:37 p.m. Thursday. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy met with a resident from the 20000 block of Evans Road to investigate an unruly juvenile at 4:04 p.m. Thursday.
A deputy was sent to a residence in the 26000 block of Kinney Pike to investigate unwanted text messages involving an ex-boyfriend and ex-girlfriend at 5:11 p.m. Thursday.
A deputy responded to the intersection of U.S. 42 and Harriott Road to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2017 Nissan Altima that lost control, drove off the right side of the road and into a ditch at 7:29 p.m. Thursday. The driver, Bruce A. Curry, 24, of Delaware was issued a traffic citation for failure to control.
While investigating a driving complaint, a deputy stopped a suspect vehicle on Route 4 near Milford Avenue at 7:56 p.m. Thursday. The driver, Michael B. Redel, 29, of Bucyrus was arrested operating a vehicle while under the influence. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
According to Ohio State Highway Patrol report:
Troopers were sent to a one-vehicle injury crash on Route 4 at Route 161 at 1:25 p.m. Thursday. The driver of a 2007 International box truck, Wayne Marshall, 53, of Springfield was traveling northeast on Route 161 and negotiating a curve when he traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned. His truck “suffered heavy damage.” Marshall was transported to Memorial Hospital by Union Township EMS. The State Patrol was assisted by Union Township fire and the Union County Sheriff’s Office.
