According to Marysville Police Department reports:
Craig E. Jones, 48, of Marion was arrested on a warrant service arrest in the 1200 block of W. Fifth Street at 2:46 p.m. Monday. Reports indicate Jones missed a court date for a driving under suspension citation. He reportedly thought the court date was Monday, but it was the week prior. When he arrived at the Clerk of Court’s office, MPD was called and advised Jones was there with an active warrant.
Police responded to a report of recovered property in the 100 block of E. Sixth Street at 10:40 a.m. Monday. Reports indicate a Bluetooth speaker was found at Partners Park.
Police responded to a report of burglary in the 100 block of W. Ninth Street at 11:41 p.m. Monday.
Police responded to the scene of an accident involving Janet M. Hammond, 64, of Watkins Glen Blvd. and Shawn David Brown, 32, of Woodbridge, Virginia that occurred on Route 31 at Mill Road at 3:20 p.m. Monday. Reports indicate Hammond was traveling north on Route 31 in the left lane and Brown was traveling next to her, in the right lane. Brown attempted to change lanes and side-swiped Hammond’s vehicle. Brown was towing a tank trailer with an Illinois registration. Neither driver experienced any apparent injuries. Brown was cited for not driving in marked lanes.
According to Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:
A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 11000 block of Route 47 to resolve a neighbor dispute over livestock at 11:46 a.m. Monday.
A deputy met with a resident from the 21000 block of Main Street in Raymond to investigate harassment involving a social media website at 12:02 p.m. Monday.
A deputy went to the Adult Probation Office on Route 4 to take custody of George L. Cook, 45, of Marysville for a probation violation at 3:21 p.m. Monday. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy met with a resident from the 20000 block of Orchard Road to investigate identity theft involving a computer that was compromised at 4:02 p.m. Monday.
Deputies and units from the Marysville Fire Department responded to U.S. 33 near Route 245 for a property damage crash involving a 2010 Honda Civic that lost control and drove off the road at 4:57 p.m. Monday.
A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 20000 block of Evans Road for an unruly juvenile at 7:29 p.m. Monday.
Deputies were sent to a home in the 21000 block of Main Street in Raymond to investigate a harassment complaint at 9:27 p.m. Monday.
Deputies and units from the Marysville Fire Department responded to a residence in the 17000 block of Paver Barnes Road for an overdose at 9:34 p.m. Monday.
