According to Plain City Police Department reports:
An officer was dispatched to Plain City Elementary School on South Chillicothe Street at 9:47 p.m. Nov. 1 for the report of a suspicious vehicle. The officer made contact with the occupants and warned them for trespassing. The vehicle left the location.
An officer was requested to do a well-being check on West Avenue at 8:51 p.m. Nov. 1. The officer made contact with the individual, who advised that she was fine.
An officer responded to Dickens Lane at 7:08 p.m. Nov. 1 in reference to a menacing complaint. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the caller and was advised of a possible threat that was made. An investigation is ongoing.
An officer was requested to do a well-being check on Converse Avenue at 6:53 p.m. Nov. 1. The officer arrived at the location and made contact with the residents, who advised that everything was OK. After deeming that everything was fine, the officer returned to patrol.
An officer was dispatched to the intersection of U.S. 42 and Route 161 for a report of a stolen trailer at 9:01 a.m. Nov. 1. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with both vehicle owners and determined that the trailer was not stolen.
Officers responded to West South Street at 12:21 a.m. Nov. 1 in reference to a 911 follow-up.
An officer was the Shell station on South Jefferson Avenue at 9:10 p.m. Oct. 31 when someone found a Visa card and handed it over to the officer. Contact was made with the cardholder and it was returned.
An officer responded to West South Street at 5:08 p.m. Oct. 31 in reference to a dispute that happened at another location. Upon arrival, contact was made with the caller and information was gathered. The caller was advised to stay away from the location where the dispute happened. Officers made sure all parties were calm.
Officers observed Lee Dennis, who has a suspended license, driving a 2008 gray Pontiac G6 on North Chillicothe Street at U.S. 41 at 4:20 p.m. Oct. 31. Officers approached the vehicle and could smell the odor of raw marijuana coming from it. Officers found a vape pen that was used to smoke marijuana and two “small dime-sized pieces” of marijuana. Lee was cited for not having a valid driver’s license, failure to reinstate, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
An officer received a call in regard to a possible trespasser at East Main Street at 2:16 p.m. Oct. 31. After further information was received, the called advised the concerns were a civil matter.
Officers were dispatched to assist the Ohio State Highway Patrol with an injury crash on Plain City-Georgesville Road at 10:14 a.m. Oct. 31.
Officers responded to West South Street at 9:25 p.m. Oct. 31 in reference to a 911 unknown. Upon arrival, contact was made with the caller. The officers spoke with all parties involved and stood by until everyone was calm. After all parties were calm and separated, the officers’ assistance was no longer needed.
An officer was dispatched to South Chillicothe Street at 6:40 p.m. Oct. 30 for a report of a package that was taken from the front porch. Contact was made with the caller, who advised the officer that it was a misunderstanding.
An officer was dispatched to Country View Lane at 11:06 p.m. Oct. 30 in reference to a scam. Upon arrival, the officer met with the caller who advised they received an email that turned out to be fraudulent. The caller was advised to block the email address.
Officers were dispatched to Ratcliff Lane at 9:33 p.m. Oct. 30 in reference to a subject making suicide threats. Officers were able to locate the individual and provided the resources that were needed.
An officer was dispatched to Country Place Lane at 8:03 p.m. Oct. 30 in reference to a scam. Upon arrival, the officer met with the caller, who advised they received an email that turned out to be fraudulent. The caller was advised to block the email address.
An officer was requested to conduct a BAC test for the Union County Sheriff’s Office at the Plain City Municipal Building at 6:21 p.m. Oct. 30.
An officer was dispatched to The Cheese House on U.S. 42 at 3:15 p.m. to assist the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
An officer was dispatched to Weathervane Way at 2:24 p.m. Oct. 30 in reference to a parking complaint. Upon arrival, the officer located a trailer and contact was made with the homeowner. The homeowner was advised of the complaint and stated the trailer would be moved.
An officer was dispatched to South Mechanic Street at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 30 in reference to a 911 follow-up. The officer determined everything to be OK.
Officers were dispatched to Nighthawk Drive at 8:59 p.m. Oct. 30 for a report of suspicious circumstances. Officers arrived in the area but were unable to find anything out of the ordinary.
An officer was dispatched to West Main Street at 9:16 a.m. Oct. 29 in reference to a 911 follow-up. Officers determined everything to be OK.
An officer was dispatched to Pastime Park on North Chillicothe Street at 12:19 p.m. Oct. 29 in reference to a possible domestic dispute. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the occupants. The officer determined everything to be OK.
An officer was dispatched to the Hydro Spray Car Was on Village Boulevard at 10:15 a.m. Oct. 29 in reference to a private property non-injury crash. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the individuals. The officer deemed everyone to be OK and documented the crash.
An officer responded to North Avenue in reference to a 911 follow-up at 3:33 p.m. Oct. 28. The officer made contact with the caller, who advised the call was accidental.
An officer responded to Smith Place near West Main Street at 5:03 p.m. Oct. 28 in reference to a road hazard. Upon arrival, the officer observed a hole from a water meter missing the cover and cones were placed over the hole. The Public Works Department was notified.
An officer was advised of a vehicle illegally parked on village property on Jackson Street at 10:06 a.m. Oct. 27. Upon arrival, the officer observed a blue Toyota Corolla parked on the old blacktop driveway. The officer placed a parking violation sticker on the driver’s window, advising the vehicle needs to be moved.
An officer was dispatched to Park National Bank ATM on South Jefferson Avenue at 3:47 p.m. Oct. 27 in reference to an alarm drop. Upon arrival, nothing seemed out of the ordinary. The keyholder was notified.
An officer dispatched to the intersection of Route 161 East and Warner Road to assist the Ohio State Highway Patrol with traffic control at 3:55 p.m. Oct. 27.
An officer responded to Daily Needs Assistance on West Main Street at 8:34 p.m. Oct. 27 in reference to a pull station fire alarm. Upon arrival, the officer was advised it was an accidental alarm.
An officer responded to Richwood Bank on West Main Street at 11:10 p.m. Oct. 27 in reference to an alarm drop. Upon arrival, the officer checked and found the business and all doors secured.
