According to Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:
A deputy took possession of a wallet that was found at the U.S. 33 westbound rest area at 10:39 a.m. Thursday. The owner was notified.
A deputy met with a resident from the 20000 block of Peoria Loop Road to investigate a possible scam received through the mail at 11:35 a.m. Thursday.
Deputies assisted Marysville Police Officers in attempting to locate a person threatening self-harm in the 1500 block of Carmel Drive at 1:19 p.m. Thursday.
Deputies and units from the Jerome Township Fire Department responded to the U.S. 33 off-ramp to U.S. 42 for a property damage crash involving a 2017 Honda Civic that was struck from behind by a 2015 Subaru Impreza at 3:10 p.m. Thursday. The driver of the Subaru, April M. Zipser, 50, of Delaware was issued a traffic citation for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 10000 block of Tawa Road for a person having a mental health crisis at 6:11 p.m. Thursday. The person was transported to Maryhaven.
A deputy responded to Route 161 near Bates Road to investigate a property damage crash involving a 1999 Ford Ranger that struck a deer at 6:47 p.m. Thursday.
A deputy was sent to a residence in the 21000 block of Raymond Road to investigate a dispute between a resident and motorist at 8:39 p.m. Thursday.
Deputies and units from the Richwood Police Department investigated a property damage crash that occurred on Route 47 west of McMillen Road involving a 2006 Buick Rendezvous that struck a deer at 11:34 p.m. Thursday.
