According to Plain City Police Department reports:
An officer assisted the Union County Sheriff’s Office deputy in locating a subject on Ratcliff Lane at 10:50 p.m. Nov. 8.
An officer was requested to do a well-being check at the Plain City Municipal Building on Village Boulevard at 9:14 p.m. Nov. 8. The officer made contact with the individuals and determined everything to be OK after speaking with them.
An officer responded to North Avenue for a well-being check at 9:03 p.m. Nov. 8. Upon arrival, contact was made with the occupants and officers determined everything to be OK.
An officer was dispatched to West Main Street at 7:31 p.m. Nov. 8 for a possible suicide threat. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the subject and determined no self-harm had taken place, nor did the individual want to hurt himself. The officer determined everything to be OK.
Officers were dispatched to North Avenue at 5:21 p.m. Nov. 8 in reference to a subject making suicidal threats. The officers were able to locate the subject and provided resources that were needed.
An officer went to West South Street at 2:47 p.m. Nov. 8 to serve a felony warrant. Nathan Williams was placed into custody without incident and taken to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
An officer was requested on South Chillicothe Street at 1:55 a.m. Nov. 8 in reference to a homeowner observed on his security system that a known subject had entered the residence. Upon arrival, the subject had already left the location. The officer made contact with the subject to notify them that they cannot enter the residence without the homeowner’s consent.
An officer was requested by the Ohio State Highway Patrol to assist with a BAC test at the Plain City Municipal Building on Village Boulevard at 2:01 a.m. Nov. 7.
An officer was on the scene of a possible stranded vehicle on Old Route 161 at 6:48 a.m. Nov. 7. The officer waited with the vehicle until the Ohio State Highway Patrol arrived on scene.
An officer was dispatched for a driving complaint on West Main Street at 4:32 p.m. Nov. 7. The officer went to the listed location but was unable to find a vehicle matching the given description.
An officer was dispatched to West Main Street at 5:21 p.m. Nov. 7 to answer questions regarding a civil dispute concerning some property. The officer provided information to the parties involved.
Two individuals came into the police department at 7:31 p.m. Nov. 7 to report that a family member had some personal items that they would not return. The officer contacted the family member and explained the situation. The items were later returned without incident.
An officer observed the back door to Daily Needs Assistance on West Main Street unsecure at 1:19 a.m. Nov. 6. Upon checking the building, the officer did not see anything out of the ordinary. Contact was made with an employee, who was advised of the situation.
An officer responded to Plain City ACE Hardware on West Main Street at 8:15 a.m. Nov. 6 in reference to an employee that had been terminated. Upon arrival, the officer met with the caller. The caller advised that an employee was terminated and the person is not to be on the property. A notice was sent to the person notifying them not to return to the property.
Officers were requested by the Ohio State Highway Patrol to respond to U.S. 33 for a K9 assist at 5:34 p.m. Nov. 6. Upon arrival, the K9 officer indicated a positive alert on the vehicle.
Officers were dispatched for a driving complaint on South Chillicothe Street at 9:15 p.m. Nov. 6 for a vehicle that was “all over the road.” Officers located the vehicle and made contact with the driver. Once determining that the driver was not impaired, the officers returned to patrol.
An officer responded to West Bigelow Avenue at 11:18 p.m. Nov. 6 for a 911 follow-up. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the caller, who advised it was accidental. The officers deemed that nothing seemed suspicious.
Officers were dispatched to Shell/Plain City Village Mart on South Jefferson Avenue at 3:58 p.m. Nov. 5 in reference to a male who was “passed out at a gas pump.” Upon arrival, the officer located a Ford van at the pump, with a male who was slumped over. The officers made contact with the occupant, Michael Wilson, 53, and smelled “a very strong odor of alcohol.” Wilson was placed into custody for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Upon conducting a probable cause search of the vehicle, three bottles of vodka, a “small baggie” of marijuana and rolling papers were found. Wilson was issued citations for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, OVI super concentration, driving under suspension and no operator’s license. He was also charged with possession of drugs, drug paraphernalia and open container.
An officer responded to a non-injury accident on South Jefferson Avenue at 5:02 p.m. Nov. 5. Upon arrival, the officer observed a blue Chevrolet HHR disabled on the roadway. The other vehicle was a silver Honda sedan that had moved to the parking lot of Der Dutchman. The officer spoke with both drivers, a crash report was completed and the driver of the HHR was later issued a citation for failure to yield. The vehicle was removed from the roadway.
An officer responded to North Avenue at 6:05 p.m. Nov. 5 in reference to a possible narcotics complaint. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the reporting party. Once more information was gathered, it was determined not to be narcotics. Officers deemed everything to be OK.
Officers responded to West Avenue at 9:12 p.m. Nov. 5 in reference to a possible suspicious person. Officers made contact with the homeowner, checked the area and determined everything to be fine. Contact was made with a family member.
An officer was requested by the Union County Sheriff’s Office to respond to El Camino Drive at 10:58 p.m. Nov. 4 in reference to a residential alarm drop. The officer determined everything to be OK.
An officer was requested at Pastime Park to assist with a civil dispute at 5:45 p.m. Nov. 4. Upon arrival, the officer was advised that an individual had an outstanding balance that needed to be paid. The Park Manager stated that she would review records to verify there was still an outstanding balance. If money is owed, the individual was given a deadline to make the payment or charges could possibly be filed.
An officer received a report of potential neglect on Colvin Drive at 11:45 a.m. Nov. 4. Information was forwarded to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
An officer met with a complainant in regard to potential theft on Lewis Circle at 10:05 a.m. Nov. 4. After further investigation, it was determined that a scam had occurred. The complainant was advised to contact her financial institution to make them aware of the situation and to contact the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.
Officers were dispatched to Shepper Avenue at 1:15 a.m. Nov. 4 in reference to a 911 follow-up. After making contact with the homeowner, everything was determined to be OK.
An officer responded to Mike’s Pit Stop on West Main Street at 6:55 p.m. Nov. 3 in reference to a possible theft complaint. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the caller and it was determined that everything was OK and no theft had occurred.
An officer met with individuals at the police department at 2:05 p.m. Nov. 3 in reference to a scam that had occurred on Country Place Lane. The officer was advised that their email was hacked and used to send several emails asking the recipient for $300 gift cards. The officer advised the individuals to file a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.
An officer was requested to be present on West Main Street at 1:15 a.m. Nov. 3 while items were exchanged between individuals.
An officer was requested to assist the Union County Sheriff’s Office in locating a vehicle on Route 161 at 2:32 p.m. Nov. 2.
Officers were dispatched to West Main Street at 3:48 p.m. Nov. 2 in reference to a dispute. Upon arrival, officers stood by while belongings were collected.
An officer was requested on West Main Street at 5:12 p.m. Nov. 2 to assist with a civil standby. The officer arrived and stood by while items were exchanged.
An officer received a report of a possible theft related to a prior incident on West Main Street at 6:23 p.m. Nov. 2. Information was taken from the caller and the officer advised that the incident would be documented.
An officer was advised of a suspicious vehicle on Red Knot Court at 10:57 p.m. Nov. 2. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the occupant and determined everything was OK.
Officers observed an open door at Plain City Elementary School on South Chillicothe Street at 11:11 p.m. Nov. 2. Officers completed a check of the building and determined everything was OK. The officers secured the door.
