According to Marysville Police Department reports:
Brenda K. Schlecht, 45, of Wagon Wheel Lane was cited for driving while under the influence in the 1200 block of W. Fifth Street at 5:04 a.m. Tuesday.
Jeffrey Raymond Merle, 50, of W. Fourth Street was cited for assault in the 200 block of W. Fourth Street at 8:32 p.m. Tuesday. Reports indicate Merle assaulted another male at his residence.
Police responded to a report of a theft in the 15000 block of Watkins Road at 4:49 a.m. Tuesday. During a vehicle theft, reports indicate the suspect also took a “paper mask from (the) center console” of a gray Dodge pick-up truck.
According to Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:
As a result of a traffic stop in the 10000 block of U.S. 42, a deputy arrested James E. Souders, 36, of Marion for an outstanding arrest warrant out of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday. He was taken to the county line on U.S. 33 and released to a Logan County deputy.
Deputies were sent to a church in the 24000 block of Lunda Road for a report of a person walking in the area at 2:06 a.m. Tuesday. Upon further investigation, Shane E. Tackett, 32, of Urbana was arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant out of Champaign County. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
While on patrol in the 24000 block of Lunda Road, a deputy located a property damage crash involving a 2010 Jeep Compass that failed to navigate the turn from Route 347 onto Lunda Road and struck the ditch at 3:02 a.m. Tuesday. The driver, Davis M. De La Paz, 24, of Marion was issued a traffic citation for failure to control.
Deputies were sent to the area of U.S. 33 east of mile post 14 for a report of a silver Dodge Ram that was left parked in the fast lane at 3:34 a.m. Tuesday. Upon further investigation, deputies located an unoccupied 2019 Dodge Ram truck that was stolen out of Bellefontaine.
Deputies were sent to the area of Miller Road and Route 739 for a report of a property damage crash involving a 2018 Honda Accord that left the roadway and struck a ditch at 1:24 p.m. Tuesday.
A deputy was sent to a business in the 8600 block of Industrial Parkway for a report of a theft of a license plate from a company vehicle at 3:26 p.m. Tuesday.
Deputies and units from the Marysville Division of Fire responded to the 17000 block of Raymond Road for a report of an injury crash involving a 2014 Ford Edge that left the roadway, went through a farm field and struck a tree at 5:04 p.m. Tuesday. The driver was transported to Memorial Hospital by medic.
