Michael J. McCarty Jr., 46, of Black Hawk Drive was cited for domestic violence in the 600 block of Black Hawk Drive at 8 p.m. Friday. Reports indicate the citation stemmed from a Nov. 17 incident.
Craig Strauss, 49, of Westbrook Drive was cited for theft in the 900 block of Coleman’s Crossing Blvd. at 4:37 a.m. Friday.
Police responded to a report of a dispute in the 200 block of N. Maple Street at 5:32 a.m. Friday.
Police responded to a report of an individual violating a protection order in the 1200 block of W. Fifth Street at 2:37 p.m. Friday.
Police responded to a report of criminal trespassing in the 900 block of W. Fifth Street at 3:08 p.m. Friday. The reporting person requested an individual be trespassed from CVS Pharmacy.
Police responded to a report of forgery in the 800 block of Delaware Avenue at 3:53 p.m. Friday. Reports indicate CheckSmart advised someone attempted to cash a fraudulent check valued at $1,996.97.
Police responded to the scene of an accident involving Eugina Marie Canter, 33, of Columbus that occurred on Watkins Road at 12:41 p.m. Friday. Reports indicate Canter was driving on Watkins Road when she left the roadway to the right and struck a speed limit sign and a mailbox. Canter did not experience any apparent injuries. She was cited for failure to control.
David R. Starling, 77, of Quail Hollow Drive was cited for license forfeiture (driving under suspension – child support) in the 16000 block of County Home Road at 8:26 p.m. Saturday.
Christopher W. Edwards, 31, of Greenwood Boulevard was arrested on a warrant service arrest in the 200 block of W. Fifth Street at 9:05 p.m. Saturday. Reports indicate Edwards “went to the Union County Sheriff’s Office to report a possible sex offense involving his daughter and was found to have a tax warrant.” He was then arrested and released into his mother’s custody.
Police responded to a report of a dispute in the 100 block of N. Main Street at 1:55 a.m. Saturday.
Police responded to a report of domestic violence involving a 13-year-old that occurred in the 1300 block of Forest Edge Drive at 9:39 a.m. Saturday.
Police responded to a report of a burglary in the 300 block of S. Walnut Street at 10:38 a.m. Saturday. Reports indicate a “caller (reported) someone broke into his home while he was in the mental hospital.”
Police responded to a report of a dispute in the 500 block of Corbel Drive at 6 p.m. Saturday.
Police responded to a report of drug abuse (marijuana) on U.S. 36 at Watkins Road at 9:55 p.m. Saturday.
Police responded to the scene of an accident involving Joy Victoria Crane, 23, of Watkins Glen Blvd. and Mary Jo Daniels, 62, of Bellefontaine that occurred on U.S. 33 at Northwest Parkway at 5:13 p.m. Saturday. Reports indicate Crane was merging onto U.S. 33 eastbound from Northwest Parkway when she changed lanes before checking her blind spot and side-swiped Daniels’ vehicle. Neither driver experienced any apparent injuries. Crane was cited for not driving in marked lanes. Reports indicate Crane was later cited for driving under suspension, at 8:54 p.m. Sunday.
Nicholas Wayne Bosier, 43, of Xenia was cited for driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, reckless operation on streets, non-compliance/FRA suspension and failure to comply at 6:15 a.m. Sunday. Reports indicate Bosier fled from MPD but ultimately came to a stop “after blowing out his left side tires.”
Police responded to a report of theft by deception in the 1200 block of London Avenue at 11:36 a.m. Sunday. The reporting person advised he was scammed out of $2,000.
Police responded to assist another agency in the 1800 block of Welsh Place at 2:56 p.m. Sunday. Reports indicate “a female was transported by MFD from a local apartment.”
Police responded to the scene of an accident involving Austin M. Pfarr, 26, of Dog Leg Road that occurred on U.S. 33 at W. Fifth Street at 7:47 p.m. Sunday. Reports indicate Pfarr was entering U.S. 33 eastbound from W. Fifth Street when he lost control on the on-ramp and struck the guardrail. Pfarr did not experience any apparent injuries. No citations are listed in the incident report.

Deputies and units from the Jerome Township Fire Department responded to the 8000 block of Industrial Parkway for a property damage crash involving a 2020 Nissan Pathfinder that was struck from behind by a 2006 Ford Freestar at 6:58 a.m. Friday. The driver of the Ford, Anthony A. Castle, 34, of Milford Center was issued a traffic citation for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 10000 block of New California Drive to investigate a domestic dispute between a father and daughter at 12:07 p.m. Friday.
A deputy met with a Richwood Police Department officer to take custody of Tyler D. Shirk, 36, of Richwood for an outstanding arrest warrant at 1:52 p.m. Friday. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy was dispatched to a business on South Mill Street in Milford Center to investigate an attempted fraud involving the misrepresentation of a utility company at 2:08 p.m. Friday.
A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 14000 block of Hillview Road to investigate damage to a yard that was caused by a semi-truck at 2:17 p.m. Friday.
A deputy responded to U.S. 33 near Poling Road to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2021 Honda Insight that struck a 2015 Hyundai Sonata at 4:19 p.m. Friday.
A deputy was sent to South Mill Street in Milford Center to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2014 Freightliner semi-truck that was struck by an unknown semi-truck that left the scene at 4:22 p.m. Friday.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 21000 block of Main Street in Raymond for a domestic dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend at 5:58 p.m. Friday. As a result of the investigation, Amber M. Hammond, 39, of Raymond was arrested for domestic violence and transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy was sent to the Franklin County Jail to take custody of Jason W. Rhoden, 37, of Columbus for an outstanding arrest warrant at 12:15 a.m. Saturday. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
Deputies and units from the Northwestern Fire District responded to the 22000 block of Route 31 to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2004 GMC Sierra that drove off the road and struck a guardrail at 1:47 a.m. Saturday. The driver, William P. Couch, 59, of Plain City was issued a traffic citation for failure to control.
Deputies responded to the 22000 block of Buck Run Road to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2007 Honda Accord that struck a deer at 6:37 p.m. Saturday.
Deputies responded to U.S. 42 near Rickard Road to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2015 Ford Focus that struck a deer at 6:44 p.m. Saturday.
Deputies and units from the Marysville Fire Department responded to a residence in the 13000 block of Pleasant Ridge Drive for a possible overdose at 2:46 a.m. Sunday. The victim was transported to Dublin Methodist Hospital.
A deputy responded to the intersection of Industrial Parkway and Brock Road to investigate a property damage crash involving a 2012 Ford F-350 that struck a 2021 Acura MDX at 10:51 a.m. Sunday.
A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 20000 block of Barker Road to investigate a property damage crash involving an unknown vehicle that struck a mailbox and left the scene at 11:17 a.m. Sunday.
A deputy was sent to a residence in the 15000 block of Fish Road to investigate the theft and attempted fraudulent use of a check at 12:14 p.m. Sunday.
