According to Plain City Police Department reports:
An officer responded to Route 161 at 5:06 p.m. Oct. 31 for a driving complaint of a vehicle unable to maintain lanes and speeding. Upon initiating a traffic stop, the officer observed the driver throw something out of vehicle. After further investigation, the driver was verbally warned for the marked lanes, distracted driving and for littering. The driver picked up the trash that was thrown from the vehicle.
An officer found multiple doors unsecured at The Grainery on West Main Street after the business was closed at 6:46 p.m. Oct. 31. The officer searched the building and found nothing out of the ordinary. The doors were secured and a keyholder was contacted.
Officers responded to North Avenue at 10:33 p.m. Oct. 31 for a report of a possible domestic dispute. Officers learned it was a verbal dispute between family members and they were already separated.
An officer was requested to assist the Madison County Sheriff’s Office with a non-injury hit skip crash at U.S. 42 and I-70 at 12:18 a.m. Oct. 30.
An officer was requested to assist the Union County Sheriff’s Office with a 911 follow-up at 4:05 a.m. Oct. 30.
A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle that was driving the wrong way down a one-way street on South Chillicothe Street at 1:05 p.m. Oct. 30. Upon approach, officers detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted and found raw marijuana, rolling papers, a marijuana grinder and a pipe containing burnt marijuana. Subsequently, Cody Phillips, 19, of Plain City was issued citations for one-way and drug paraphernalia.
An officer responded to East West Avenue at 1:14 p.m. Oct. 30 for a well-being check, made contact and was advised everything was fine.
An officer responded to ER Autocare on South Jefferson Avenue at 2:02 p.m. Oct. 30 for an alarm drop and spoke with an employee, who stated everything was fine.
An officer responded to Coachman Drive at 7:16 p.m. Oct. 30 for an occupied vehicle in front of a residence. Contact was made and the officer was advised one of the occupants lived at the residence and was being dropped off.
Officers responded to Marathon/GB Power LLC on West Main Street at 10:06 p.m. Oct. 30 for an alarm drop and was advised by a keyholder it was accidental.
A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle for squealing tires on West Main Street at 8:16 p.m. Oct. 29. During the stop, the Hilliard Police Department’s K9 Unit arrived on scene and conducted an open air sniff and gave a positive alert. A probable cause search was conducted however, nothing was located. The driver had an active warrant out of Madison County. Subsequently, Angel Narciso, 20, of Plain City was placed into custody and transported to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office. Narciso was issued citations for no driver’s license, FRS suspension, and for squealing tires, “peeling,” cracking exhaust noises.
An officer responded to West Avenue at 10:08 p.m. Oct. 29 for a 911 follow-up and was advised everything was fine.
An officer responded to the North Avenue Apartments on North Avenue at 10:31 p.m. Oct. 29 for a complaint of a vehicle parked with several occupants. Contact was made with driver, who advised they were there waiting on a friend.
An officer observed a subject sitting in a parked vehicle on Cooper Lane at 12:43 p.m. Oct. 29. Contact was made and the officer learned it was a resident of the house.
An officer responded to West Main Street at 12:10 p.m. Oct. 28 for a trespasser complaint of an unknown subject possibly inside the residence. The caller reported hearing a door shut and seeing an unknown subject getting into a vehicle and leaving the property. The caller reported nothing appeared missing. The officer canvassed the area for camera footage but nothing was found. The incident was documented.
An officer responded to Plain City Elementary School on South Chillicothe Street at 1:42 p.m. Oct. 28 for a 911 follow-up and was advised it was accidental. The officer walked through the building and found nothing out of the ordinary.
An officer found multiple doors unsecured at The Ball House on West Bigelow Avenue at 6:40 p.m. Oct. 28. The officer searched the building and found nothing out of the ordinary. A keyholder was contacted and all doors were secured.
An officer responded to Warbler Lane at 12:48 a.m. Oct. 27 for a 911 follow-up. The officer made contact and was advised it was accidental.
An officer responded to Pioneer Roofing on Maple Street at 10:58 a.m. Oct. 27 for a report of vandalism to a boat. The caller reported he found profanity spray painted on the sides and inside the boat. An investigation is ongoing.
An officer responded to Carriage Drive at noon Oct. 27 for a well-being check and was advised everything was fine. Additional follow-up will be conducted.
An officer responded to Route 161 at 3:25 p.m. Oct. 26 for a driving complaint regarding a vehicle unable to maintain lanes. The officer made contact with the driver and determined he showed no signs of impairment. The driver was advised to drive safely.
An officer observed a vehicle parked in a no parking zone on South Chillicothe Street at 5:31 p.m. Oct. 26. Contact was made with the driver and the vehicle was moved without incident.
Officers responded to Gay Street at 10:43 p.m. Oct. 26 for a trespassing and telecommunication harassment complaint. The caller advised that she did not want a known subject on her property, wanted them trespassed and wanted all communication to stop. Officers made contact with the subject and she was given a verbal warning for trespassing and telecommunication harassment.
An officer responded to Bluestem Lane at 11:03 a.m. Oct. 25 for a complaint of possible harassment. The caller advised a known subject showed up on her property and she didn’t want him there. Contact was made with the subject and he was advised of the complaint and the possible consequences if he were to return.
An officer responded to NAPA on Village Boulevard at 11:29 a.m. Oct. 25 for a report of a found wallet and took possession of the wallet. Contact was made with the owner of the wallet, who later came to the police department and retrieved it.
An officer was requested to assist the Union County Sheriff’s Office with translation during a non-injury crash on Quail Ridge Drive at 5:07 p.m. Oct. 25.
An officer responded to East Main Street at 12:05 p.m. Oct. 24 for a report of a possible neighbor dispute. After speaking to both parties, it was determined to be a misunderstanding.
An officer responded to North Avenue at 1:05 p.m. Oct. 24 for a 911 follow-up but was unable to locate the individual. The officer canvassed the area and found nothing out of the ordinary.
An officer responded to Gay Street at 5:10 p.m. Oct. 24 for a report of a possible rape that occurred several years ago by a known acquaintance. An investigation is ongoing.
