According to Plain City Police Department reports:
An officer was dispatched to South Jefferson Avenue at 3:45 Dec. 8 in reference to dirt and mud being in the roadway near a construction site. The officer advised the construction crew that the roadway needed to be cleared as it was a hazard. Later, the officer returned to the location and the roadway was cleared.
An officer was requested to assist the Athens County Prosecutor’s Investigators with an investigation on Warrenton Drive at 10:23 a.m. Dec. 8.
An officer was dispatched to Central Avenue at 7:44 a.m. Dec. 8 in reference to a juvenile complaint. After investigating the situation, the officer transported the juvenile to school without incident and then returned to patrol.
Officers found a door open at Buckeye Brass and Winds on North Chillicothe Street at 12:08 a.m. Dec. 8. Upon checking the business, officers deemed everything to be OK and secured the door.
An officer was dispatched to North Chillicothe Street at 9 p.m. Dec. 7 in reference to a possible trespasser. A black Ford Ranger with a flat tire was sitting in a field. Contact was made with the property owner who stated the vehicle was OK to be there.
An officer was requested by the Athens County Prosecutor’s Office to make contact with an individual to deliver a message at 10:24 a.m. Dec. 7. The officer made contact and relayed the message to the individual.
An officer responded to an alarm drop at Der Dutchman on South Jefferson Avenue at 8:02 a.m. Dec. 7 and was advised that it was accidentally set off. After determining everything to be OK, the officer returned to patrol.
Officers observed a suspicious person sitting on the front patio of The Grainery on West Main Street at 2:23 a.m. Dec. 7. The business owner was contacted and he advised he wanted the person trespassed from the property indefinitely. Officers advised the individual that he was trespassed from the location. The individual left without incident and officers returned to patrol.
Officers responded to an alarm drop at Daily Needs Assistance on West Main Street at 9:03 p.m. Dec. 6 and were advised it was accidental. After deeming everything to be OK, officers returned to patrol.
An officer was requested to be present at the Plain City Municipal Building on Village Blvd. at 5:18 p.m. Dec. 6 during a custody exchange, which occurred without incident. Once the officer was no longer needed, he returned to patrol.
An officer was dispatched to East Main Street at 12:38 p.m. Dec. 6 in reference to a barking dog complaint. The owner of the dog was notified and warned that if the excessive barking continued, he could be charged.
An officer was requested to assist the Madison County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a domestic dispute on Smith-Calhoun Road at 12:44 a.m. Dec. 6. After all parties were calm, the officers’ assistance was no longer needed.
